I just figured it would be cool to talk and reminisce about Borg. My fav mod of all time had to be the a5 hopper he made from a dye lock lid. Gone but never forgotten!

He was an awesome paintball player and a friend of the techpb comunnity also a YouTube paintball sensation. He took his own life. But he's still a big part of the way a lot of people will see paintball.

Borg was THE source for any tippmann mod you could think of

Bad stuff. I believe his house flooding was the start of his issues, stopped posting videos for a long time. Ran out of money and was living basically homeless, then his partner left him which lead to his tragic suicide.

Ditto, I've always wondered about the "Borg was here" thing. Now I know and I'm crushed that the community lost someone like that.

It's such a shifty feeling to know he's gone. But I've been looking at his videos and I was thinking of buying and a-5 and making it just like his. Call it the Borg.

Borg was an amazing guy. In fact the reason my channel is "Trails of Doom" is in reference to his "Quake Cam" stuff (both early fps videogames). His videos were the first youtube paintball videos I saw, and they were so cool, that I wanted to make some of my own. It is also one of the main reasons I still rock an A-5. If it was good enough for Borg, it is good enough for me. I was lucky enough to get to talk with him online often, and he gave me lots of tips over the years, and was very complimentary towards my video work on youtube.

I saw his last post on facebook the next morning... I wonder if I had checked facebook that night if I could have talked him through that dark hour... That haunts me to this day.

I loved his Videos, I have been subscribed to his channel for years even though I know there won't be another of his videos up.

His videos made me really interested in the game and he was a driving force for me start playing.

I wanted to get some Quake 2 stickers for my helmet, but they are kind of hard to find.

Felt terrible when I found out about his death, It really hit me even though I never met him. He would answer all of my newbie questions and was really nice.
What?! I'm all out of powdered toast?!

Stop worrying about how you look, and start worrying about how you play. Get out on the field and play paintball the best you can, not stand at home in front of a mirror trying to figure out if your jersey matches your eyes.

Yes. I remember one of his Videos he got some where like 15 Eliminations before getting shot out... It was amazing how well he could just "point, pull and Eliminate" as quick as he could.

I didn't know him personally so I can't say that I miss him. But he was a well liked person that produced awesome content and I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I wish I could have known him.

I Loved watching borg play. He had a style that was really fun to watch, and he did it all with an a-5. So many point blank kills he was epic.

I still have a dvd signed by him that he gave me at LL3. It makes me happy and sad every time I see it on my bookshelf.
The Borg Universal Mount was the best. Tactical chip clip ftw.

I remember first stumbling onto his site on youtube when I was looking for an alternative to the unwieldy cyclone hopper for my trusty Tippmann A-5. He definitely gave me a lot of ideas with his videos. Like some of the other members while I didn't know him personally, I thought his solutions were spot on for us Tippmann owners. B)

RIP BORG

It's funny that I seen this. I was just talking to my brother about Borg. I was a big fan of his videos, even though I haven't ever been a big tippman user. I just admired his creativity, rresourcefulness and willingness to go out of his way to help others. One of the best times of my life was getting to play with Borg at LL3. Not only playing on the field but then sitting around off the field on Friday and Saturday talking to him. Getting to possibly meet him was a big reason my brother decided to go to LL4 and we were both crushed when we learned of his suicide. To this day we still will sit and watch videos, and talk about him.

RIP Borg, you may be gone but we here will never forget.

Like Spider, I got to play with Borg at LL3, which I believe was his last visit to the US. He was a great guy, very funny, and an awesome player. I distinctly remember getting in a mess along the northern woods of CPX, close to the tape, and I was about 20 yards ahead of the rest of our team, and 20 yards ahead of me was Borg, alone and cool as could be. Then I got shot in the face. Good times.

Borg was an inspiration for me. He and Mike were the two contributors that really got me into the sport and helped me get through long, cold, Northeast winters. I miss Borg a lot, but its good to remember him like this.
Rest in Peace, Borg.

Borg was a sad story, I had been subscribed to him for a while and when he just stopped posting video's is when I suspected something was up. I still regret checking his channel that day.
