It is better if you buy used.

A used tank and a used Rotor would be better.

You can pick up a used Axe for the price of a new Mini. Mini's are shit, Axes are fantastic.

Why would you match pants, jersey, podpack, barrel condom?

You don't NEED a jersey but you do NEED pants so get rid of the jersey and buy quality pants.

I suggest picking and choosing.

I personally would buy markers, tanks, and hoppers used because they are not personal things. And you can save upwards to 50% of the price of a used hopper and up to 20% to 80% on a used marker.

things you should always buy new are:

Masks
Pants
slider shorts
pads

What is your budget and what are you looking for in a marker?

Used Axe.................... $300
Used rotor................... $90
Used 68/4500.............. $110

There is your amazing set up for $500.

After this you should buy the best pants you can afford then knee and elbow pads and you are set.

The reason why you do not need pants right now is that although they are helpful, being a beginner you do not tend to slide around a lot. Once you learn the ropes that is when you start to do that hardcore stuff like superman dive and such.
