I'd really love to have a nice magfed marker. The problem is that they all seem to be modeled after assault rifles (pistols excluded, whole different story). Does anyone else want a "traditional" paintball marker that uses a magazine?

Tacamo's MKP kit for an X7 would be the closest thing that I know of.

What marker did you have in mind, modern electros are all about speed, lightened to be faster, able to shoot real fast for a long time, why would you limit that very capable marker with a mag, in milsim it makes sense because it is military simulation, go heavy or go home, loud and proud, if you ment something like mag fed bt4/tippmann, there are conversion kits from tacamo and ©rap4, this might be interesting http://www.getrealpaintball.com/

I know everyone has ther own preference but I must admit, I don't understand why it would matter if it has a milsim look.

Isn't that the whole point of going magfed?
So you can have a simulation type of marker that mimics a real gun.

The only reason I can think of is if you are exclusively wanting to use fin stabilized rounds like first strike and you don't care about the extras of having a shroud and all that stuff.

I also would agree that a milsig MK3 without the front shround would be a good option, it just looks like a Custom 98.

because if it's decked out with rails and shrouds then it's just adding unnecessary weight and bulk to the platform. i'm not criticizing milsim markers by any means, it's just nice to have something just as capable in a light and smaller package.

If you're having to shave weight off something that weighs less than 6 lbs that's distributed between both arms you need to focus on hitting the gym and less on PB. I mean seriously if this is an issue and you're not disabled, or under 13 years old then thats just sad.

If you want to stretch the definition a little bit, a gun with a cram-n-jam could be considered mag-fed with the 10 round tubes being the "mag".

oh, so you're one of those guys.
yeah, something that heavy isn't really an issue. but if you could have something 3 pounds lighter, would you take it? because if i'm snapping with someone and needs to constantly have my marker up, i don't want something heavy. i could snap faster and have less fatigue with something lighter. lets take a vote, who would want a 7 pound gun over a 3 pound gun if they have the same performance? anybody? anyone at all? i doubt it.
i have a full block pump and i run it with a 68 and a rotor, it's probably considered the opposite of a light set up. i can appreciate the benefits a lighter setup grants you, as i'm sure a lot of others can too.

Well since milsim stands for "military simulation" we could assume all pb magfed guns not modeled after real guns are therefore "non milsim" so the t 9.1, dye dam, and T4 could be considered "non milsim"

seems like a valid argument. but in my opinion they were still modeled to look somewhat like a firearm, not any specific type, just a look in general. i would argue that they're still milsim style, but i totally get where you're coming from

Although they're not directly modeled after any real firearm, they are designed to look, feel, and function (to a degree) like a gun the military would use.
So it could still be considered mil-sim.

I still don't see why you would want to use mags unless you're wanting to "simulate" using a real firearm. Real firearms have some weight to them, they have some bulk to them, so why not just go with it and replicate that experience.

I mean as preciously stated, you certainly have options to make a magfed designed gun look more like a traditional PB gun. If that's what you want I say knock yourself out. Whatever makes the experience more enjoyable.

I've thought about it. I wouldn't mind trying magfed but I'm kind of turned off by the milsim guns. It's just not my thing. You're looking at making or modifying a gun. Mag's would probably be about the easiest way to go about it. The valve is a self contained modular unit, and you could work around the linkage by converting it to a pnue-mag. At that point you need to modify a body so it has a magazine well then have magazines made up. Definitely doable, but there's going to be some work involved.

I have no idea if this company is even still in business, but this is the closest thing to a non milsim magfed I can think of. It still is gun looking but it only has the top rail and you can take the sights off if you like. They are a PITA and require a lot of maintenance but if you take care of them they do work amazingly well. They are also heavy but you aren't going to find a light magfed. I owned one of these and as long as it was working it shot ropes like a champ. It has 2 magazines, the forward one holds 60 rounds and is quick change so it works like your pods. the actual mag is 25 rounds and you generally only have 1 of those. I would run around with 5 or 6 of those 60 round loaders like pods.

Well you could check out the OpsGear MP7 shroud for the T8.1, or the "Sarge" Carbine Kit by Engler CUstoms for the TPX. Gives you a sort of "SMG" look for your pistol, a little bit longer then a pistol but not nearly as heavy as a full sized mag-fed.

The thing is that magfed kind of IS milsim, so it's somewhat difficult to find a mgazine fed marker that does not resemble a military or military-style weapon. I assume you are looking for a "speedball" type magfed gun, correct?

Lol, also next time leave a brand, not just the model please, because when I looked up T15 it came up with some girls and very old tanks, and when I looked up T15 marker, it came up with some small flashlights. lol. don't get so pissed off because of small mistakes.

BTW, the TM15, not the T15, looks like the ACR in MW2, just to let you know.

I like magfed because there is no hopper to speak of, and I like the idea of limited ammo. I'm just not into the whole "milsim" thing. I want all those nice things that come with a space-gun, but I want to stick a mag into it.
