So today I broke the lid on one of my gen x global pods, can you buy replacement lids for them or do I need to just go get a new pod?

If you can find them, they typically run about 50 cents per lid. At that price, just buy a new pod.

Ok, I'll just buy a new one, just seeing if it would be really cheap to fix

Pods are so inexpensive that its just not worth the effort to fix. Shit can it and get some new ones. $2 at worst at your local shop or field.

by the time you either drive to the store to pick up the part or pay for shipping and wait. you might as well have bought the pod.

Just buy a couple more pods as compensation. It's not worth the money nor effort fixing a pod.

If your shop is charging $7 for regular Gxg or other basic pod, you are getting ripped the fuck off my friend. $7 a pod is Dye Locklids money.

Toss the broken pod, buy a new one if you don't already have one to replace it (and shame on you if you don't have any spare pods).

Just stick around your local field after a days play and help the refs pick up the field/pit area. They really appreciate help, especially if they are trying to get out of there early.

On top of that, I personally have been handed 6 new pods, 2 jerk squeegees, a swab that I washed and is like brand new, 7 microfiber cloths, a grav hopper they put on a rental gun, and a new sock (tossed it). People leave a lot of stuff behind, not garbage in the trash, that all you need to do is wash it and save ~$10 monthly

Save it for a few weeks, sometimes you can find another that broke or crack and scrounge the lid from it. If one doesn't turn up just recycle it.

I say save the pod, but buy a few more as replacements. I remember the first/only time I broke a pod lid and I keep the pod around to use it as a stand.

don't fix buy more pods. the time and effort isn't worth it, saving it to scrounge for a broken pod with a good lid is another option too.
