So I was reading about the war of the three kingdoms that happen back in ancient china it talked about how it was a war between three nations and when one nation attacked they had to worry about another...

So I thought, has there ever been any Scenario paintball games with not just two but three teams?

I think a Utah scenario did this... want to say Aliens in the Rockies? It went "OK" one of the teams were much more dominant then the other, so the 3rd team always either teamed up with better team and kick the crap out of the weaker team, or the 3rd team split up into small groups and attack their own team that was near the other one.

Living Legends last year had a third faction that was smaller than the 2 main ones. Caused a lot of chaos on the field.

There's a larger scenario out west with I think 7 teams? I can't imagine the chaos...

as long as the teams were smaller i dont think it would be much of a problem

I still suck and barely know positions.

thats what my wife said when I first met her...

The Bob Niederman Memorial game last year at Paintball country had 3 teams, the third team was mercenaries, and either team could hire them to do tasks. The mercenaries didn't help either team much and ended up getting each general... So they weren't trusted and if you saw them during the game everyone would just take them out... I saw one guy get lit up by BOTH teams as he was trying to get through a firefight, and someone yelled "hey, there is a mercenary" and both teams directed their fire at the poor guy... It was pretty funny.

Friendly fire is such a problem at scenarios, I don't really see the point in adding even more teams to try and figure out...

I'm talking more like 3 LEGIT teams not like a small side one I am talking like three equal ones.

Clearly that would be hard if you consider starting points but, you know.

The Fort put on by Shoreline has 4 factions.

Tippmann Challenge UK has 8 factions.

Cheers!

The game in Utah that did that was the triad, it was a scenario series with three events. One in Nevada one in Utah and one in Idaho. The three teams were based out of those states. So it would be Nevada vs Utah vs Idaho. It was fun while it lasted but now it is just a regular scenario.

^Which I'm not worried about, rather do 2 bigger scenarios than 3 medium ones. :)

I have never played a game with three or more (About equal in size) fractions does it provide a much different paintball Scenario experience?

I'm playing my first one in just over a month, I'll let you know how it goes. Others have definitely enjoyed it though and said that it provides a different experience.

Global Conquest at Hell Survivors in Michigan has been going on for years with 6 sides, but never personally been. Sherwood Forest used to do a three sided game and they were nuts, as long as no pacts formed.

In my experience, not really. Felt the same as any scenario.

Just like in my head I see it as oh there is a mission were one side needs to hold it from another but then out of the blue BAM the third team strolls into the mix causing chaos.

Obviously it most likely does not go down this way...

looked at global conquest, seems like the scoring would get ridiculously confusing.
