i got to talking about older DM's with a friend the other day... i kinda want to pick up a DM8 and turn it into a project gun...

Eigen Ring, new trigger, new board... polished bolt and cans... teflon coatings... super smooth and supper efficient (for a spool)....

i kinda miss my old pink DM8

to someone who doesn't shoot DM often a dm7 feels exactly like a dm12. Hell i wonder why people shoot a dm later than a dm9 w/ IM trigger.

My favourite DM's would have to be the 9 and the 11. Only noticable changes, DM9 being lighter, and the DM11 having NT ergo's with those screw in grips that made it just alittle thinner, along with the good looks! Pure Nostalgia

the DM12 adn 13 are larger then the 9/10/11... i actually like that... as the added weight makes for a wicked smooth gun... i shot a DM12 at my field last event... it felt like it was shooting 240FPS... when it was spot on at 270 (field limit)... they are super comfy guns, decient efficiency, and wicked smooth and quiet... the DM, in my opinion, is the ultimate high end for someone who doesnt play tournaments...

Doesn't?

It's one of the least temperamental guns out. If you get bolt stick due to whatever weather mid tourney, you just crank the lpr alittle and you're good. That's one of the reason's so many older player's resort to Dye.

yup, you read that correctly... i am not diminishing any dye product as a tourny gun... but for my taste, a new DM is a bit big and bulky for a touny gun... when i am playing speedball i lik ea light and tight set up, with a 16 inch barrel... for woods, i like the bulk of a cocker or a DM

I think my favorite all-around marker is the Rogue. It doesn't have the greatest efficiency, but during speedball and woodsball where there's always a fill station nearby, the Rogue is just amazing. Quiet, small profile, amazing ergonomics and consistent as all get-out.

'Course I've taken great care of mine, can't say the same for other Rogues out there. But if you were to shoot mine you'd wub it too.

Yup that's the rogue, I surprisingly loved to use my angel in tourney's and had a PM8 as a back up. the reason I loved the angel was because of how short, and how easily maneuverable it was. The pm8 was also a fantastic airball gun and both made it easy to carve bunkers.

The angel's are a little wide to me to but I love how short they are, it makes it easier to maneuver, at least to me. Also if you thought the DM8 was bulky, try using aPM8 on the airball field. It's lighter and is a smaller profile compared to the dm8. It might not have the same shot, but it's damn near close.

i had a pm8 and liked it other than the fact it was too damn short. i am around 6'2" or 6'3" and my hands are just too long for that gun. that and the stock trigger sucked. my dm12 i am going to put in my top 3 favorite guns i have owned next to my luxe and the cyborg RX that i got rid of for some stupid ass reason.

on another note i have some "pissing away money" and i think im going to get a 260 shell for my spire and maybe a new speed feed. the crown 2 is pretty terrible and wont let a full pod in.

I have so many markers that I like it's just hard to choose which is my absolute favorite. They all have their pros and cons and I like them all for different reasons, but the main reason is they all shoot amazingly. Pretty much all the ones in my sig I used on a weekly basis at one point or another.

The only sad thing is that my custom pump, the purple splash, the screw threading ended up shearing off of the body and the worst part is that that screw works with an oring that keeps the chamber pressurized. As long as that screw hole is fucked, I can't use it and since I'm on this damn boat and can't take the time to tap a bigger screw for it.

Most of the places I've played in other countries have been on military bases.

I'd like to lpay some Millenium when I get to austrailia and I'd like to take a trip up further north in Japan and play some paintball there. unfortunately paintball is banned IN Japan so I can't ever play out in town there. I'd like to play when we visit Malaysia again, but I just can't bring myself to go out with rental equipment. I can store my paintball equipment on the ship and I can register and store my paintball marekrs in the armory on the ship, but I think i'd be too much of a hassle. Also, knowing some of the people who are in the armory, I don't trust my marker to be left the fuck alone.

I think I spent more money playing paintball in Guantanamo Bay than I did all my years combined.

I had that mind set of, "only $45??? Well I'll buy 3 cases! For one day, and I'll come back on Sunday and get more cases! Fuck you paint gods it's mine ALL MINE!"

I went a little overboard with the paintball in GTMO...

Start Gun Whoring, it's how you will know what you like. Personally even though I'm short I do enjoy stretched out guns I don't mind small guns like the Mini, NT, G3/4, I just feel when the gun is stretched out a little it feels a lot more stable in the hands

I've owned more guns then I can count and so far my favorites are the gen2 marq platform and the dm line. Cockers will always hold a special place in my hea as well. My next purchase is going to be a tan mvp

I was so close to making a joke about that

go ahead, make all the jokes you want... i have 10 fingers and 10 toes... means i can count to 20... if the army wanted me to count higher, they would have given me more fingers or toes... as they made me turn in the ones to cut off the hands and feet of those i killed... something about bad press, and how not wearing them on a necklace....

A) That's extremely fucked up.

B) I know you've got your ban hammer in full swing...

P.S PM8 to me shot like my DM7 stock, alittle adjusting and it shot even better. The only gripe I had about it was that when I wanted to adjust the LPR I had to use a longer allen key otherwise it was a bitch to adjust. Sick gun though, I guess we just had different experiences with it.
