My plan was to sell a ton of gear, save up on cash etc, but I just don't have the time or the resources to earn $1400 when I have school starting, and going to another city for school doesn't help. I'll just end up picking up an AR:K, and an SB fly instead. I really wanted the DM though :(

Joy was my favorite team from the day i started playing... so the possibility of owning a gun from one of my favorite payers of all time would be epic... its only of my few uniforn guns... the Aftershock SFL is one of them, though i wish mine was a Danny Love owned gun, and not Chris Wright, but its still an uber rare gun

Joy is the best team in paintball ever. They dominated europe, and even dominated NPPL (when it was competitive), (The Joy vs. Dynasty game is still my favorite to this day if I'm honest). Also I loved their philosophy, they picked the name Joy because they enJoyed playing paintball and once it became a bother and they started to not enjoy it they retired. Well most of them anyways. Plus Leopard print

I got a question. Can one of you guy who knows a thing or 3 about BL guns tell me what the difference is, other than milling and the 2pc barrel, between the regular G6R, G6R Z, G6R Tactical, G6R Intimidator  and G6R Dragon Timmy is? Are the internals all the same?

I don't know enough to get into the specifics of which one got which, but there's also the different triggers, the premium pillow bolt, and the LP poppet that some of those fancy new-fangled G6Rs get.

Yes they are all pretty much internally identical. However, older timmies use plastic tubes with fittings while the G6Rs use passages that are milled out of the aluminum with custom molded orings that seal the frame and body air passageways.

This way makes the G6R less finicky since the barbs/hoses on older timmies could come lose or in some cases rupture. It also reduces the overall size of the marker when compared to older timmies.

Soin regards to the current G6Rs, all are the same internally, they just have different millings.

That's kinda what I thought but I'll go ahead and take TSB's advice and call BL up tomorrow or something to make sure. If that's the case, I don't see a need in spending $1500 on a new G6R Dragon Timmy when I can find a used, run-of-the-mill G6R for a pretty reasonable price. Not gonna say that over the phone with BL, tho.

Just call and say you're interested in buying one, and you haven't made up your mind on a body style, and were wondering if there were any perks that came with any of the different bodies.

If it's a G6r, then there will be no functional or physical difference on the inside between versions of the G6r. Other than the normal vs. LP poppet, they're mechanically identical.

the dragon, phoenix, status and z got the no rise bolt pin from what i have seen, i've also seen some that came with the 4c eyes stock, but BLAST has done that in the past with lots of guns... buddy of mine had a marq6 a few years ago that he sent in for service, he paid for the PE kit, it came back with a gear drive ASA, 4C eyes and the updated trigger with LPR slot milling that he didnt pay for... but, he also talked to bob directly when he called BLAST to get the work done.

I'm more thinking that I shouldn't pay extra for the G6R Dragon Timmy if all that's different is milling and a barrel kit. Now someone is talking about normal vs LP poppet and I wonder which is better. I'll pay money for better. i don't see a need to pay money for prettier. And this is all assuming I get that second job.

LP poppet gives a smoother shot, but there is a slight drop in efficiency, at least thats what i noticed with my vice, i lost about 3/4 of a pod in efficiency, ive heard of people loosing over a pod, but its all in how you tune it

The Lp poppet is worth the sacrifice. With that you can get a g6r to shoot as smooth as any spoolie to date.

I mean, they all to their jobs. I have yet to use a reg that was actually bad enough to need swapping it out. Torpedo regs get my vote though, since I like regs that have high macro fitting placement. The Torpedos are also easy to adjust and take apart and maintain.

Wouldn't the shot quality of a gun factor into how it feels? I'd rather shoot a gun with meh ergos that had an awesome shot characteristic than shoot a gun with awesome ergos that had a meh shot characteristic.

I tried that but my marker is still shooting way to hot with the weakest spring set and as I have already got a asa and am waiting for the attachment plate to come in all I have left to do is put a real reg on it

What is the gun you turned into a spump? Did it use a regulator in its stock configuration? BL regs should go up to at least 250-300ish, IIRC. I have a torpedo on my MQ cocker, and that needs upwards of 200-250psi to reach velocity.

a spyder compact 2000 I also modded the bolt to provide more flow and a tighter seal with the breach in an effort to increase efficiency.

here is a link to the thread, included is an exploded view.

be careful with some older american cars, early smog equipment, crappy electronics, low compression ratios and various other factors kind of killed the cool factor.

emissions dont matter much with pre OBD2 cars... anything 199 6 and older you can do whatever you want to it... though in california, by a certain date all cars on the road will be OBD2, cant remember the rear though...

OBD2 is just a PITA... which is why i want to sell my 05 grand cherokee and get an older CJ-7 so i can do a cummins swap, and not have to worry about all the electronic BS

I was checking it out and.. It's good on gas, pretty decent handling, cheap insurance, emissions don't matter here because it's 25 years old, the value is increasing, there are alot of good engine conversions, and it's a good looking car. Only the 84s had the "Catch on fire" issue. I can't think of a reason not to buy one besides the overheating and flip up head lights, but the overheating can be worked around.

i have somewhat expensive taste in bags.... but its founded on personal use. i bought a Myster Ranch R.A.T.S. medical aide bag for my deployment to kuwait and iraq, it took all the abuse i could give it and still looks relativity new. i bought mine with the NICE frame, so it ran me about 700 bucks... but the back itself with teh standard yoke will be able 350ish...

for a 72 hour grab and go bag, this is what i would recommend... http://www.mysteryra...ay-assault-pack

this is the bag i pan on buying when i have the money though... http://www.mysteryra...-alpha-bvs-pack

why that bag? it will alow me to carry 5 days worth of prepaired supplies... meaning watter and food... as well as what i need to gather my own food and collect and purify my own water. it also have a weapons retention system, that way i can pack my long rifle on my back, and not have to worry about slinging it with the bag on. i already have the NICE frame for it, so the cost is less. it will work as a normal camping bag, for when i go hiking with friends and family, it will work for hunting once i finally get my licence and start hunting legally, and i can keep it packed and ready to go if shit hits the fan...

when it comes to a bug out situation, whether or not i intend to return to my home, my goal to go unnoticed. if society collapses for some reason, man made or natural disaster, i plan in high tailing it to the woods, a bag like this will be able to carry everything i need to pack in and pack out what i need to build a base camp and to survive.

if you are looking at other bug out gear, check out hennessey hammocks, the are light weight and can be set up anywhere with 2 fixed points that can hold the weight. they also have a seperate rain fly so you can set up and take down camp in the rain and remain dry. as for stoves and such, multi fuel stoves are the way to go, i prefer a portable wood fuel stove, as you can use esbit and other solid fuels in it as well, though they are harder to control flame temp with. i am a huge fan of cooking over a small, smokless open flame, so i always pack what i need to make a small tripod to hang pots off of or suspend a grill grate. as for water purification, its not hard to make a purification still, 2 containers, some translucent plastic and some hosing... but, the best stuff i've found to work is a purification brine pen. it uses a single AA battery, you mix rock salt with water, it passes an electric currant through the water and makes a brine, you then mix it with your water source, wait 20mins, and you ahve clean drinkable water that doesnt taste like iodine or bleach.

Jawz - Dude, newer VW, please. Corrado, if you like that shape. And since you seem to have some of the same oddball tastes I do, have you considered and old Shelby Dodge like and Omni or Charger GLH or GLH-S or a Shadow CSX? Maybe a little newer and get one of the Lotus head cars like the Spirit R/T or Dayton IROC R/T with the large spline A568 trans?

VI - I've driven a good amount of cars that I want, the 2 Firebirds I got the chance th drive (an 82/96) both drove amazingly it's just the gas on them is.... not so amazing. The Mustang I drove was a 98 and it was nice but worse than the firebird in mpg, chargers aren't too popular here, and those that are aren't in my price range haha. I like the fiero simply because of the nice handling sporty look, and bang on mpg, I could probably get a nice 88 formula or gt for a decent price, and if not an 87 will do fine. The only reason the Volkswagen is on there is because it's reliable, and my father's first car was a Volkswagen
