You've added fill stations to each insertion point? Will there be 4500 and 3000 available?

Love it! Air at the final battle will help a ton. Last year I had to sprint out for more then sprint back. :(

excellent, no more taking two tanks into the final battle!
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

I'll be rocking a hopper for the final battle for sure. A Magfed gun does not a good final battle warrior make (necessarily)

Makes paying for air somewhat justified. Why can't air be paid for per person, instead of per tank. I run several different guns and some have specialized air systems. So why do I have to pay 30-45 dollars just because I want to switch guns or tanks...

We hire it out and It is their policy. Let's say we do it per person. You have 4 tanks. We give you 4 things to mark your tanks. What keeps you from giving one to a friend? If there is a better solution, I am all ears.

Build air fills into the cost of registration? Then only those who are registered and have a players card can get air fills.

Why not have air marked on the ID card that everyone is issued in some fashion? Have the ziptie go through a hole punched on the id card. So you wear the ziptie on the ID card.

Have both a zip tie on the id and tank. But vary the colors and they have to match?

Or zip tie on both and the colors correspond to whether you got air or not. So those who try to get a zip tie from a friend wont be able to fill because the ziptie on the ID states that the player didn't buy air?

I just hate having to buy multiple air tickets because I decide to use a 13/3000 with a Tiberius T9.1 or a 68/45 when I switch to a electro or a 4oz CO2 because I want to run my phantom. Im still using the air at the same rate as everyone but I am penalized because I want to switch up guns or playing styles and thus need to switch tanks.

Just an idea here;

Tanks have unique numbers to them do they not? I suggest doing set prices for people for unlimited fills to people that pre register (they would have to pay for it of course). Perhaps something like 50 bucks or something around that per person or that a pre registered person can buy unlimited fills (for a price that goes down for each tank you buy up to a maximum of x tanks, maybe 5). I understand that it would require a lot of oversite to correctly do that but it could possibly be feasable. This also would only be an option to pre registered people (sort of a hey bonus option for signing up early) so that way you could have time to plan, implement and organize it.

I hope this gives you a viable iption

This is awesome!
Now if we can get a couple of chronos also at the insertion points too or at least a random chrono check on a virtue chrono.

What about just having the cost for air built into the registration? If you're going to be there than I would assume you're going to be using some type of paintball marker that uses some type of gas. The only issue I see this causing is for people exclusively using 12 g co2. I'm not going so say nobody does it at events like this, but the amount of people that do would have to be few and far between.

Between pump/pistol players using 12 grams, dedicated medics, and people who are involved with pro shops and fields who bring their own pre-filled tanks there are a large number who would have issues with it. That is why the system exists as it is; those who need it buy it, and those who don't aren't required to.

The issue here is DISHONEST people who would take advantage of any system they can. If we charged per player there are DISHONEST people who would pay for one wristband/ziptie/whatever and fill the all of their buddies' tanks for them. If you mark player badges somehow they will just pass that same badge around. Therefore we have to mark tanks. However if we just let everyone bring up multiple tanks that same DISHONEST PUNK would pay for ONE person bring his five friends' tanks up and state they were all his.

If everyone was just honest this would be easier. As usual in life it's the few d-bags who screw it up for everyone else. :-(

Dishonest people blow donkey balls.

I don't mind paying per tank, it just makes me cringe when I see it's 15 dollars a tag, when most places all day air is between 5-10 bucks. But that's what it is, so I'll keep paying it.

There may be cheaper companies out there, but we wanted to make sure we had the best for players at Living Legends. These guys are one of the few in the nation that can handle a scenario event with 1000+ players, and they have redundancy upon redundancy. They have MULTIPLE large compressors, as well as the parts and skill to make IMMEDIATE repairs on-the-fly, ON SITE.

Short of North Korea nuking CPX I can't imagine a situation where 4500psi fills wouldn't be available at the event as long as these guys are doing it.

Nothing ruins an event like the air going down. Since this isn't just any event...it's the mighty, mighty Living Legends, we just couldn't allow that.

I'm good with Kerry's explanations. That makes sense.
I travel a long way for 2 days of epicness. I'm happy to pay $15 for each of my three tanks. Not a big hang up for me, especially hearing the explanations.
