I live in northern mn, it isn't the temp that is doing that to the paintballs, it is how they are being stored. Open up the boxes before you buy them. Make sure they aren't dimpled. Then rotate the boxes every 3-4 days
These things were purchased the day before we played from a place that has decent turnover, so I'm not convinced it was a storage/retail issue. Like I said above, they were all just fine when inspected indoors. Plus, all of the leftovers are as smooth as my hairless chest now that it's a bit warmer. I was using Competition, other people were using different kinds of JT paint, but we all had the same problems.
May have been the humidity, I suppose. It was a pretty wet day. Combine that with lower temps and voila! Crappy paint.
I'll research this myself too, but are Marbalizers brittler paint? As in, would that explain their resistance to temp/humidity changes?
