Yes the axe is a great marker, and will be just as good as high end markers minus some features and refinement, as once you pay over $500 for a marker the extra $1000 or so is just for minor improvements that really won't give you an advantage over another player on the field.

higher end markers will have higher quality. the axe is made in Taiwan, when i held one i could tell the build quality wasn't particularly high. but, they're still great markers, and i should be getting one in a few days time.

This is a very good point. Eclipse, BLAST and DLX guns all are very well refined and really scream quality when you hold them unlike most mid-level guns.
