I'm looking at buying a tablet, and I'd like to get everyone's opinion on the subject. I'm looking at Android OS only, no Mac stuff please. Not really into tablet gaming, just something to do mainly web surfing and reading, and no cellular service needed.

I've got it narrowed down to the following:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 $350
Asus Transformer Infinity $440
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 $400
Google Nexus 10 $400

Thoughts?

My GF has the Galaxy Tab 2, my Father has a BB Play book and my mum has a Galaxy Note.

Myself I have a iPad 2.

Of them all obviously I prefer the iPad (its just easier to use for a not so Techy person such as myself). But of the rest the Galaxy Note seems to be pretty damn nice and not as confusing as the Galaxy Tab. I rly liked the BB Play book for general use and Internet browsing but it lacks the Support from software manufactures that you get from iOs and Androids.

I bought the Galaxy Tab 2 7in recently and I love it . I mostly use it for watching videos , taking notes and reading E-books. The size is very similar to a Kindle or Kobo. I find any size larger than it much too big. OS is Jellybean which is the current best and it's essentially the same as the S3 . I got mine with a cover , a 32GB micro SD and a stylus for ~250$. I would recommend the Galaxy Tab 2 7in over the other tablets you picked based on what you want to use it for and it would be saving you a lot.

I've actually been out to Best Buy to play with some of these in person, and I found the 7's too small for my liking. I think the 9'' screen on the Kindle Fire HD is perfect, but I don't like their goofy OS.

The infrared blaster on the Galaxy sounds like something I'd use, and I like that it has speakers on the front side instead of the back. The Google Nexus 10 looks like a winner but I haven't been able to find one at a store to mess with.

My sister has an older nexus, the seven. Not a bad tablet imo.

Nexus 10, the nexus line is awesome, and you'll get timely android updates.
