Stock class: Phantom

Open class: Prostock or other Sniper II (autockocker w/pump kit)

Simple as that.

Phantoms right out of the box do not have detents you need to either get the; oring detent kit or get it modified for detents/widgets.

I had a Phantom for 3 years, Hated it every moment to be brutally honest. I'm a Sheridan guy so my vote goes to the Sniper.
What?! I'm all out of powdered toast?!

The pump stroke simply isnt conparable to a Sheridan-valve like a Sniper.

Not in purely stock form, no.
There are a lot of ways to prevent rollouts, though. The simplest is probably CCI's detent ring kit which comes with several differently-sized aluminum rings that grip the paintball in the front of the barrel. These prevent double feeds and rollouts. You can also switch to a tighter barrel, have the barrel freak-bored, or have ASP install the rubber O-ring detents in the gun. Or a combination of these.

The Prostock, like most guns in the Sniper family has a detent, but this is only useful in preventing double feeds; it can't stop rollouts. Like on the Phantom, you'd really need a tighter barrel and/or kit, or possibly use nail polish or electrical tape to make sure the ball is held snugly in the back of the barrel until you're ready to shoot.

So I'm looking at the Prostock in b/s/t here. Would it be better to get an AKP?

Depends on the parts, if it has anything ccm, then yes it will be lightyears ahead of an akp.
