If Eclipse can get an Ego to be as smooth/er as a spool or a BL gun, how smooth would a Geo with a LV system be? Thoughts?

A Geo can't have an "LV" system. It doesn't have a ram.

Whoops didn't even think about this xD

Well what if they made some sort of similar system, but with the Geo?

The point of the lever is to slow down the interaction of the hammer with the ram. The Geo 3 already has this; it's the solenoid flow restrictor, which allows you to slow down the speed at which the bolt moves forward and opens the valve.

Man, they gotta have something to make the Geo smoother in comparison to its competition.

Make it not a dump valve design. They could be like everyone else and make it based off of the shocker design. Or just make inline poppets.

If Im not mistaken nothing except the G-series markers is truly a dump "valve" marker either.

With that said the rumor is the next Geo may incorporate an LPR or some sort of system that has the same effect on its shot quality as the cam-lever did for the Ego platform.

The Geo, Drone, Crome, Rogue (and probably others) all have the same style blow-forward dump valve bolt as the G series guns from DP. And an LPR is completely useless in a blow-forward anyway, since in a blow-forward, the only thing the solenoid does is hold the bolt back. When you pull the trigger, air in front is vented, allowing the pressure in the dump chamber to push the bolt forward. This is why the Geo 3 has the SFR, because by slowing the venting of the air holding the bolt back, you can slow down the forward movement of the bolt.

Here is the animation for the Geo 3. Where would you put an LPR?

The G-series is a valve that is open as long as the bolt is in the forward position whereas the others have a fixed volume dump chamber. How is that comparable? The way the bolt is propelled is the same but if they were the same there'd be no need for Techt's G-series bolts... or the Drone would barely shoot 6 pods.

Just because the Geo works a certain way now doesnt mean it aleays has to, just something to think about.

The Geo is the only blow-forward dump valve that shuts off air to the dump chamber during the shot. That doesn't change the fact that it is still a regular blow-forward dump valve. The Drone and all the other blow-forward dump valves do not shut off air, and would continue to vent as long as the bolt is forward, just like the G-series guns. Whether TechT makes a bolt for a gun is irrelevant.

Just because the Geo works a certain way now doesnt mean it aleays has to, just something to think about.

And I was responding to your claims of how the current Geos work, not speculation on future Geos.

Yeah my mistake, I was thinking of the Clone. Personally I think (or at least hope) Eclipse is really gonna come out of left field with the next Geo like they did with the LV1, it'll probably be quite the wait though too.

I've shot a pretty nice Geo3. It is by no means the smoothest spool out there, but it certainly smoother than a Geo2.

I really don't want to see them go too fancy with the Geo series, The thing I like most about the Geo is that its bullet proof. It's the only spool I've used so far that can handle Canadian winters without getting bad FSDO, or any FSDO for that matter.
