I'm thinking of getting my first electric gun here in a bit and want some opinions and different options to look at. Right now I have an Enmy and Tiberius 8 and I like them both a lot but just want to add and electric to switch it up depending on the players I am playing with (renters vs more experienced players).

The range I think would be for new around 250-300 and used 200-250. The difference is because if I buy new I get a 4 month field pass so that will save me a decent amount. Originally I was pretty sure I was going to get the Extcy because I really like my Enmey but I wanted to see what other options I should look at? I have seen some Marq 6s and Marq 7s in that 200-250 range (a few) and not sure if those would be better options or if anyone had any other suggestions they would rather have then those? If possible and if you list a couple can you say which one you prefer over which and the reason why, or just a list either way works.

Thanks for all the help!

Used mid-range is always good. New, I'd go with the Extcy or 2011 Rail. The Extacy if you must have an on/off asa.

I found a Marq 7 for roughly 200 (just needs a new feedneck). Not sure if this would be a better buy then an Extcy or not?

Thanks!

WAY better. Just make sure you can find a feedneck to buy for it.

AXE

Can you please stop saying things without explaining them? If you are going to say axe, (I agree with you) state some reasons And besides, you can't find a used axe for $250.

But cmc1367, if you can fork out $300 for an axe, you won't look back. It is quiet, smooth, consistent and efficient. It also has the best trigger imo. If you can afford them, used maq 6/7s, axes, reflexes, pm8s, are all guns you would like for ~$300

Doesn't matter what gun you have, how old you are, what paint you shoot, who your up against, how bad of a day you had... All that matters is that your playing paintball now.

Make sure you know how to maintenace your gun if your are getting an older high end because ther is much more maintenance involved in a marq than in a enemy.

Go for a new extcy or a used axe maybe save up a bit more for a new g5 but I'm not sure about DP markers.

No nothing was wrong with it. It was so cheap is because the guy actually laser-engraved stars on the side near the back. But other than that, it was flawless, preforms like new.

I hate buying used.  Mine always break easily and just don't work very well.  Go with extcy! Cheap and reliable.

^ if your used marker always breaks, either you're buying an unreliable gun to begin with, or your destroying them by not maintaining them. If you meant it as in my guns always come broken when buying used, you could easily avoid this by buying from reputable sellers with a lot of feedback.

What is a feed neck?

a feed neck is the part of a paintball marker that attaches to the hopper, there are many different styles of feednecks but they are split up into two main categories and that would be clamping and non clamping feednecks, a clamping feedneck is always better because as the name suggests it can clamp and hold onto the hopper much better then a non clamping feedneck.
