I think a crono could be beneficial to players who would like to pretune their markers at home instead of wasting precious game time. Also good that it's an option for players like myself who have access to one at home.

Still curious what the feed activation will be,eyes, sound, force feedback,RF or a combo of any of the above

There's not a weekend that goes by that i don't waste at least an hour chrono'ing my gun

But seriously it's useless outside your backyard because any legit field is going to need you to chrono useing their chronograph. For insurance/liability purposes if for no other reason.

I think offering various things like a chrono, camera, ball counter etc. as add-ons is a better idea. that way people can customize their loader to what they want as opposed to initially paying more for something one might never use.

To everyone saying that it's pointless because your field makes you chrono anyway: would you rather have a long line of people adjusting their velocity at the chrono, or have a line of people who have done that at home, and just pop a few shots so the ref can see they're under and move on?

The only place time I have ever had to chrono were the line was an issue was Scenerio games.   But still if I wanted to chrono a gun on my own I think I would just buy a chrono.

Wondering if the thought behind the crono is mostly for tourney play.

Penalties could be used during gameplay for hot shooting guns. This would be a disadvantage for teams using this hopper though unless it was an industry standard. Also curious if it will read multiple shots in a row like a field crono or single shots like most handheld cronies are.

I'd prefer to see a rechargeable LiPoly battery pack with onboard charger intigrated in the hopper rather than a crono myself, something more people could use.Lipoly batteries are much lighter, hold a higher charge and last alot longer

They are releasing two different vwrsions, one with the chrono and game timer and one without. No word on whether you can buy the chrono piece separately yet

What the hell is with all the hate?  Jesus, you're not forced to buy this loader.  One half of you is crying "what does this loader have that the others don't" and the other sits and cries, "why the hell do we need all this?"  Sack up Sallies, let me drool over this in peace and give GI a fighting chance, good f....

+1

Though I'm not exactly drooling, I'm always happy to see new stuff from companies.

I'm excited to see new products, not super excited about the price point, but competition always drives prices down.

I think the price is very good...

Just interested in hearing some opinions before I buy a rotor.

The loader looks great and all and I am sure it will be a great option for the field.... That said, calling your electronics Solid State?  Is there a loader on the market that doesn't use solid state electronics?

So I've talked to a few people who have actually used this loader first hand and this is what they had to say:

- Perfect for someone who likes to tinker/tech markers

- Depending on how long your barrel is, the chrono may not be accurate

- Heavy

- The design of the hopper itself causes some inaccuracies with the chrono

- Not as easy as the Rotor or Spire to clean
- Bulky on the marker
- Not a good idea for tournament play (if the chrono is not working properly, expect a penalty).

These are not my own thoughts, as I've only seen the hopper not actually used it. Like I said, this is from people who have actually used and played with this hopper.

Isn't there a version without the chrono? The Pulse HIV or something?

I find personal chronos only handy for teching guns, and IMO the only reason you would need one for a hefty price in your hopper is for efficiency videos or if you REALLY need to be consistent with ever shot

Yes, I'm going to be that guy. The abbreviation "STD" is no longer used in the medical world. They have chosen to use "STI" instead.
