i had a bad experience with my marker, it was not an issue of brand quality or anything, the thing is that for personal, family related issues, i kept it clean, but unattended and stored in a closet for almost 5 years in a weather similar to Florida's (90/100% humidity) i live in Cancun, Mexico,.. so, last week i found it, took it apart to verify its condition, and found every o-ring broken, i know i can get almost every ring replaced for a few bucks, but it will be hard to get the striker ring and specially, the o-ring of the reg, which by the way i was unable to open, the other thing is that i am afraid that the weather might have damaged the board in the trigger frame, i have not had the time to test it yet, need to buy a 9v battery.
hopefully the e-trigger will work, i will be able to find the o-rings y need, as well the detents and in the worst case scenario, i will have to buy a new reg, wich costs half the price of a new marker with similar features.
so, after my sob story, the question would be this..
What do you have to do to properly store your marker if you are not going to use it very often lets say once or twice a year?? specially if you live in a place with swamp like weather and the spare parts are hard as hell to find.
i dont would hate to go trough this again!
please excuse my english, its not my native language..
my marker is/was a piranha ext e-force 2k4.
