I think pinokio is confused, you can still tell that its going to be a clamshell design screwed together, considering, the spire, rotor and Prophecy can be taken apart in seconds, this is extremely disappointing to see

Maybe it's just an early version to at least test out the feeding and such, and they'll implement the rest of the fancies later.

Its not an issue with nokios, the nose cone comes off, and you can wipe them out that way, or you can just run water through them.

Alright.. these new loaders are just getting silly now. Pinokio you have made a mistake on this one… sorry dudes. I sold my nokio because it was a pain in the ass to get the clamshell back together (water didn't always get all of the broken paint out). I was hoping for a nice streamline easy access loader from them but oh well, rotor/spire it is.

I'm personally looking at getting one of these from how it looks so far. Probably before I pick up a spire since it's cheaper...

I have a spire rotor and have only lightly used a z2. I love this hopper tho. so light and small. lightest out there. and the feeding is very nice and consistent and fast. theres no delays like there sometimes can be in a spire when its getting low. this will feed till last ball is shot and pick em up flawlessly when u go to reload.

I think the hopper is actually kinda narrow, and the shape makes it appear to bulge.

I Think a few comparison photo's would be best, It will probably be a sub 200 round hopper for sure, probably a 180 like the rotor

I have owned every hopper out there, I currently run with a spire or rotor, if I feel like being a fashionista I'll use both. This hopper just seems to sit high and I don't like that its still the clam design… just my opinion. The market at the moment will be rough since everyone is on the spire boat (no pun intended) but I'm glad companies are being innovative. I am glad to hear it is light tho', that is one thing that initially attracted me to the nokio. Nokio lovers may jump on this but I can't say i will unless they make it tool-less. Sorry bro-man-dudes.

The old pinokio's had pretty weak feednecks and would crack every so often, what is this loader made out of, is it prone to cracking as well?

I can think of 5, possibly 6 companies that are pretty far along in loader development:

1. GI Sportz loader that Richmond Italia was demonstrating through Slowiak.

2. Pinokio Speed loader here.

3. Valken V-Max 2 that has the teaser video, but no photos.

4. Inception Designs Pico loader, which is an open source shell for reusing halo internals.

5. Machine's loader, which has a lot of similarities to the GI Sportz loader.  I've heard Spurlock say both are his design, but will be distinct.  I don't take that for much of anything, personally - but take that for what it's worth.

6. Alex Hodge's Raven design, which until I hear otherwise I will take him at his word that it was merely just a concept design and is not actually sold to a manufacturer.

Actually, I know of a 7th automated loader for pump markers that I've seen demonstrated, but I'd have to go back and check where the designer sits with disclosure - last I heard he was still very hush-hush about it.

Make no mistake, it should be a very crowded loader market by the end of the year.

We've actually seen the V-Max 2 now (they released a bunch of videos a day or two ago), and it's the exact same shell. They beefed up the internals, but they make no cosmetic changes otherwise.

It could possibly kill the rotor/spire/z2. As long as everything mentioned works as intended.

the capacity is 185-90. the mouth is large tho, and it will take a full pod when you are getting low. not that small that it impacts anything. it also will feed to the final ball with out any hiccups. I shot it dry and then filled. it picks up balls flawlessly. very responsive feeding. and it is very light. and I know it looks funny but remember this is a molding type shell. not completely final form very damn close tho. it does not sit high. I only took one hit in the hopper but any hopper would of taken that hit. it is small and light. snaps good, just ya can see good with it. and it is easy to break down. tooless to get to where ya need to get in case ya would ever need to. tooless battery door now, which is a nice change from the former.

I actually like this a lot - I'm curious what price point we will see when it hits the market.  I suspect the reuse of the V-max frame design with new internals in the 2 will put a lot of pressure to drive down loader prices.  The question will be "can/will the new competitors deal with their new loaders competing at the price point of the V-Max 2?"

It needs to be cheaper than the z2. Currently the Z2 is the cheapest of the rotor,z2,spire superloader group. Obviously the vmax is gonna be cheaper but fuck it I doubt people will pay much attention to the vmax. If it performs as bullet proof as the regular pinokio and is smaller than it and is cheaper than the other super loaders I see It doing well.

... I don't think every company currently looking at venturing into the loader market would do so at the same time, and for sure would not all be looking at a clam shell. Pinokio can pull of a clam shell only because of the following they have now, which is diminishing into nothing. As for the VMax, due to the first one I don't think they'll sell much to be honest it'll turn into the NT, the first one sucked, 2nd one was decent but because of the reputation of the original NT it bombed.

Regardless though, the current loaders will keep to the top of the market most likely.

P.S I don't think this is Machines hopper simply because they said the hopper wouldn't be coming out "At this time" so I highly doubt they've made a prototype or are into the testing stage. Did anyone maybe think someone used a 3d printer to make their own shell?

Why can't they make a decent looking hopper?
Just by the looks alone I won't change out my Rotor for it.

Guys, prototypes always look ugly. They are almost never the finished design. Most times, companies attempt to compact new technology in an old shell and just get the performance out there. There is a very high chance that this will be a tool-less disassembly loader like any other high end hopper on the market by the time it hits the market. Give them some time. If it is tool-less design, this will definitely be my #1 loader if it has the performance of the original Pinokio.

Dat shiny^

Anyway,I have been looking for something other than my pinokio,I guess this is the perfect time. And it does look front heavy, but it might help balance your tank, gun, and hopper better.

Nylon shell huh.  Should be really nice for impacts.  I actually like the look of the hopper.  I may pick one up.

I would say it looks ugyl if it weren't for earlier pinokios. What is the features because by now if it is speed, there is no way that any paintball player can fire a gun faster than their loader can feed. Sounds like it may be geared towards durability which would be pretty nice. I'm always scared that the nose on my pinokio will break off when I slide into a bunker.
