Ok guys.  I owned the original V-Max and it was AWESOME! It is lighter than any other loader on the market and holds more than non high cap'd ones.  My Original Vmax could hold 230+ and could feed 18+ BPS.  For the price it couldnt be beat.  Several people at my field use them as well and everyone has nothing bad to say about them.  They keep up justl at 12.5 and don't miss a beat.  This is the only loader at my field that I have not personally witnessed someone get a Jam with one. We have over 10 being used at our field. Considering they made some changes to what people though were problematic, I will be picking up the Vmax 2 for sure.

Any statistics to back up any of those claims?

Did the Vmax2 get released?  It seems like you can buy it without pre-order from most of the major suppliers, but I've never seen one in the wild nor have I seen anyone other than Valken do a video on it.  If no one bought it, my odds of getting the drive system as a drop-in go down considerably.

This was an interesting note from Winter regarding a drop-in upgrade to the Vmax:

Only if they "accidentally" sent me spares, which they didnt......

I guess it's not surprising, but I didn't realize the Vmax was manufactured by a third party company.  Right now replacement/upgrade kits are waiting on them since Valken doesn't have any.

I'm gonna try to keep the necro to a min. I refuse to buy what should have been produced the first time. And I may purchase an upgraded tray...but its not likely

Was I the only one hoping that they'd ask "But will it blend?" at the beginning of their video?

I was wondering the same thing

I don't know how a paddle hopper (such as the spire) can feed as fast as a rotor. The rotor is there for pure speed, and the rotor is proven to be super sturdy just sometimes prone to jams. To say that this hopper will be faster and more reliable than a rotor is just plain dumb. Thats what I call taking a chance; now if valken's product is a complete flop, no one will bother looking at another one of their hoppers unless they prove themselves.

Claimed feedrates are irrelevant anyway, since the gun is the limiting factor in a speed test.

Boasting about feedrates are quite relevant to me. I would like to see a drop test.

if a hopper keeps up with what you need it to shoot why should it matter, at that point i would just look at it's other features,

But then why boast, honestly, do what you preach. The hopper should outmatch the rotor in every way that it said, because they just flat out flamed the rotor.

Then buy it and test it. More then half of players couldn't give a quarter of a fuck if a hopper was faster then a rotor.
