anything that feels comfortable on your face. if you have a local shop see if you can try some on. just try and find one with a dual pane thermal lense. mostly all JT masks will get the job done.

depends what mask in particular. the JT pro-flex is one of the most breathable masks on the market. masks like the reaper however, were very hard to breathe through.

some of the cheaper ones may. but 99% of them come with a thermal lens, which is pretty much impossible to fog

Pro-flex or Profiler.  Take your pick but don't bother with anything cheaper than those.

The cheaper you go, the worse it will fog, the hotter it will get, the harder it will be to breathe, and the less comfortable it will be. I probably wouldn't spend any less than $50 on a mask.

I love you.

because those two are pretty much the cheapest quality masks you can buy in paintball. the other ones won't break (they wouldn't be able to sell them if they would) they're just lower quality, and won't fit or feel as good on your face, while having a lower quality lens that can and will fog.

Go with the Profilers, because it has quick change lenses, although some people prefer the proflex's because of the foam and such, but the profilers will do fine.

Now that the Profilers are on sale for $60 I would suggest them as well.  Once you get more into paintball and feel comfortable modding a mask (cutting different soft ears to fit it) the Pro-flex is great.

break*

Just try to save as much as possible for a mask. Make sure it comes with thermal lenses.

Look at the Proto Switch FS Thermal mask for $49. Thermal Lense, comfortable, flexible bottom, and it is a quick change lense.

Proto switch is ok. above me, no the bottom is not flexible. But yeah they are not too bad. still recommend the proflex over any mask in the price range

You don't cut them, you remove the strap and thread them over the soft ear.

This, but I notched mine at the bottom the way E-Flex ears are notched so they fit better over that little piece of plastic on the inside of the flex bottoms.

The FS has flexible bottoms, my dad owns owns one with the thermal lenses.  They're almost as soft as the original flex bottoms but cant really be rolled up like those.

The Pro Vantage was discontinued at least a couple years back. I guess it is possible to find some old stock that a shop has left over, but I wouldn't count on it.

The cheapest masks I would recommend are the JT Proshield and the Empire Vidar. They use the same great foam and lenses from the Proflex, but have hard ears and bottoms if you're uncomfortable with the flexible bottoms and soft ears on the Proflex. Also, like the Proflex, you can switch out, customize, and upgrade parts of the mask as you see fit to make the perfect mask for you.

The Jt proflex are a very nice mask but I would go with the Empire Events.  They are a little bit more expensive but they will be worth it in the long run.

Beside quick change lenses in what ways do you feel the Events price over the Proflex is justified?

He said he wanted a mask that wasn't expensive and the Events $90 and are just as good as the Eflex which are $110-$130.

Any more specific questions? And the problem with bumping these older threads is that people will respond to the OP and not your questions.

Make your own thread and let this one die. That way all the answers will be directed at your question rather than the OP's.
