That's the price to buy it from the U.K. - I think this speaks to both shipping costs and the current state of the California U.S. support center.

Also, I'm disappointed at the $350 price point.

EDIT: I see Azodin themselves confirming that $349.99 is the U.S. price via PBRiot.

The MSRP of the marker is $349.95. Except the MAP is $299.95, this is the price most dealers will be selling the marker at. Some of the other forums have the prices up.

not really. I think $100 extra is justified with an oled, clamping feedneck, new milling, better grips, & a two piece barrel.

yeah no way in hell I'd ever pay that much for a blowback, you can get a proto rail for that.  Oled board or not, you can polish a turd all you want and it's still a turd.  It's not even new technology, azodin is just reboxing old crap. Not even redesigning, adjustable valve springs and clamping feednecks have existed for spyders for years and all of a sudden everyone goes ape when azodin makes a really cool looking one.  IMO its WAY too much money, there are far better options

I guess the good thing about it is that it's super low maintenance, and that combined with all these cool features gives new guys the gun the want without the finesse that a spool requires

Why is a blowback so looked down upon?

Does it shoot 300 fps (now becoming 270 at some texas fields)? It does....

Can it go the standard PSP 12.5, or whatever mode you want? Yup....

it's efficient...

So why the hate?

(The adjustable springs you talk about, is actually a balanced valve mechanism.)

No
It's my opinion
I feel as though paying $250 for technology that has been around forever is a waste of money, when for the same price you can get a proto rail which is guaranteed to perform better.  I never said it was a bad gun, In fact i said that for new guys it's good.

I just think it's impractical really, there's nothing magical about it, I had a spyder set up like that once, and it worked fine, but it was never as smooth as my spools.  I'm speaking from experience here, it's ALWAYS going to be a blowback.

Have you ever shot any other stacked tube blowback? This is how the shot quality is going to be like.

By that theory all spoolies and all poppets must shoot exactly alike.

And we all know that's not the case. So your logic is flawed.

Except that's not his logic. STBBs are a type of poppet, and he's saying that those types of poppets will shoot very similar, if not the same, which is not flawed. It is your straw man argument that is flawed.

Well, except, a Zenith doesn't feel much like the shot from a Fenix or a Blitz.  It does feel more like a VS1.  Azodin claims the Zenith II is softer and quieter than the Zenith, but that's probably incremental.  Bottom line, if you've shot a STBB that balances the cup seal, they probably shoot a similar way, but that's going to feel quieter and smoother than your average STBB.

Actually again not quite correct. Shoot a Sheridam VM68 then shoot a modern Spyder or the new Azodin Zenith II (not shot it myself yet so I can't judge). There all STBB markers and you can NOT legitimately claim they feel ANYTHING alike.

The point I was saying is don't pass judgment without trying something first. It's very close minded and truly flawed way to think.

It's like saying all cars with an Internal Combustion Engine will run the same. That's just silly, but fundamentally no different then saying all guns of a similar design will shoot the same. Gun Weight, ergo's and hammer and bolt weights, valving AND regulators will all affect the Shooting feel. That's simple Physics. Just the same as bore, stroke, size & # of cyl, valve train ect. Affect an internal cumbustions engines characteristics. He'll even engines that are designed VERY similarly can often have VERY different characteristics.
