Is it worth paying $130 for an OLED Screen and board for the MacDev Drone DX?

I'm just going to mainly be playing recreationally and some speedball may come up later. Getting the OLED board would be very helpful when switching modes but I'm not sure if its $130 helpful. Any input would be helpful and grately appreciated.

Not worth it IMO. You set your gun up once and you are done.

All it does is make changing the settings easier. Is that worth $130, about 25% of the entire gun's retail price? Not to me. But if you have that much money burning a hole in your pocket, go for it I guess. Keep in mind it will only be for convenience. There will be no performance changes.

Ok, will keep that in mind. Thanks for the advice

Not worth it for me personally. I set my marker up the night before, or when I first get it and just leave it alone.

What if I wanted to switch between a custom made semi mode and PSP? Would an OLED screen be useful then? I would probably be switching between the modes a few times at the field, depending what I was playing.

That's still up to you to decide. After changing modes a few times you get used to it and can memorize the flashes and colors.

I don't think it is worth it.

I want the GTi upgrade for the electronic sensor on the manifold plate and because my OLED is shot. It would be worth it if you got a GT.

Once you get some practice with it changing modes with an LED board shouldn't really take much longer than with an OLED.

OLED boards are really all about convenience.  Most aftermarket boards will add some features over stock boards but no real performance enhancements.  The choice is going to be yours.

I do have OLED boards and like them.  I will switch frequently between a set up for aggressive rec play (semi uncapped), practice/rec play (semi 3bps), PSP (psp 12.4bps), and even though I don't use it NPPL (semi 14.9bps).  The only other thing I'll change is upping or lowering my dwell for the winter.

Ok, well if I end up getting the money and I don't have a better use for it then I'll get the OLED board. If I see that I'm having difficulty switching modes or if it is really worth the $150 then I'll get it.

short answer? No it's not even remotely worth it.

long answer? Its a toy that you do not need, it has no affect on the shot quality efficiency or feel of the marker. If you have extra money that you'd like to spend then go for it. I had on OLED board once, only because it came with a marker I bought. It was a nice convenience, I no longer have it and I don't exactly feel like I need another one right now.

Need? No. Want? Sure. It's a nice thing to have,  and i certainly enjoy it, but not at all necessary. Unless you're paying +800 bucks, i really dont see any excuse to not have an oled on expensive guns like that, Luxe excused.
