This is a little tip I made up because the field I go to has a field paint only rule and it is $90 for a case. BUT, you can bring back old paint you didn't use the last time you played. What I did was buy my own paint with the same shell and fill color(put it in a caddy or a box from the field so they don't notice). Now I can use my own paint for less $ and make more shots. Hope this helps.

So your saying to break the rules and try and shut the field down? $90 may be super expensive, but they do FPO because its the only way they make money....If you sneak in paint, you are hurting them because they wont make any profit. No money = no field.

does your field have little to no entry cost and free air? becasuse if thats the case then you're just being a dick because if the paint was cheaper like it is here in socal, we end up paying like 30-35 dollars for entry so while even though we're spending like 60 dollars on top quality paint, we're not playing paintball without spending close to $100 to play.

That's capitalism.  Break the rules at your own risk though OP.

$90 for a case is ridiculous if they charge you for entry and/or air TBH.

If you like your field and want it to stay in business, don't do this. Paint sales are the lifeblood of FPO commercial fields. By counterfeiting their field paint, you're not only cheating them out of the revenue that you'd bring if you followed the rules, but you're also asking other players (i.e. everyone else) to pay for the field amenities (refs, fields, bathrooms, etc.) that you enjoy. Fields tend to take this very seriously. If you get caught, you'll almost certainly get booted, and you might get banned. If we haven't yet convinced you not to do this, at the very least DON'T talk about it around other players at your field. Someone will take offense sooner or later, and it will not end well. (Better solution: find a BYOP field.)

So you want to recommend them to shut down the field. Because people will do this if someone instigates it, regardless of whether they can normally play or not.
Just ask for discounts or deals, or just use less paint. Buy a case one weekend. Play with a pump. You now have 4-5 weekends of paint because you're playing pump.

Seriously though, if a field overprices their paint to being ninety dollars a case I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business unless its ultra evil or something, in which case they should have more types of paint.

The paint is super oily, has a soft bouncy shell, and dimpled. the only reason they're in business is because they are the only within about 50+ miles. And that field is their indoor field, so they pretty much have a monopoly in my area.

i have two different types of field by my house, FPO and BYOP both FPO places have a lot nicer fields than the BYOP places, but one case is 85-90 (cpx and paintball explosion) and the way i see it i only go to the FPO places once a year for variety and the rest to the BYOP fields

the one thing that pisses me of about the FPO places is PBExplosion sells white fill redemption "pro" and it was complete shit... horrible runny fill and really rubbery and bouncey

My field charges $35 entry, $15 all day air, and $90 a case. They are ridiculous but the field is AMAZING. You could only use field paint there as well. Every trip there is like $175 without counting the gas for the 45 minute ride... I'm going to go broke if I keep playing there every weekend

Your field is FPO because of insurance. Every field that I have ever been to is FPO because their insurance requires it.

Paint can also get expensive for multiple reasons. Running a paintball field is not cheap. They pay employees, gas and other items for compressors. They pay to have rental equiptment fixed and replaced. Field upkeep also costs money. Insurance for a field is also very expensive, especially when you only have weekends to make your money.

Lol sad but true. If u find it too expensive for a case than u can either:
A. shoot less paint, make every shot count
B. in my experience most fpo fields have a membership u can buy to get free entry and cheaper paint
C. talk to the owners and see if u can trade work for paint, ex ref for a few hours than play or see if u can help out by cut grass/maintance

My field charges $15 for entry and a case of paint is $45 but they don't fill HPA so they make a lot of money off CO2 fillings. Plus you can rent "body armor" for $8 which is just a vest and a neck protector but that's just a way to make money off idiots and noobs.

Don't say that people who wear neck protectors and vests are idiots. They're the ones who will not get huge marks from getting shot. You will look like an idiot and feel like one too if you refuse to wear a neck protector but have to sit out the rest of the day because you got shot in the neck and the refs won't let you play because you're bleeding. Some people like to wear neck protectors but that doesn't mean they are idiots and noobs because they want to be protected

it was possibly a typo. rounding roughly $7 could equal 30 pesos if $50 = 200 pesos

I think that all of us have at least entertained the thought of smuggling paint into a field. Bottom line is that enough people do it then there won't be a field regardless so the purpose kind of defeats itself. Anybody else one of those kind of players that goes to an FPO field and while you're playing you can't help but watch the dollar bills flying out of your barrel? That kind of stuff drives me loopy after a while, if the only BYOP field around me goes out of business then I'll probably cry.

In the future please be truthful, on the forum as well as on the field. Support your local field or find a new one but don't cause them a loss in money.

^^ Can't believe that I forgot about this. Yes, Pump is a great way to force yourself to not go through paint. Or if you happen to have a pistol you can go for some entertaining magazine-fed action.

Good thing I live in southwest ohio. 7 fields withing 60 miles of me. 2 byop. One of with is free entery at a nice church field with cheap air. Most others are cheap to get in $10-$15 $10 all day air. $45 to $60 case of field paint.
