your 2 best options:
1: backed up by a great company (DYE)
2: better barrel honing
3:smoother shot (my opinion)
4: much easier to fix if broken
1: better board
2: On/Off ASA
PS. I think the trigger is a tie. Extcy has a nice trigger geometry but it is plastic and has a breakaway magnet design. Rail has bad trigger geometry but it's metal and doesn't have breakaway magnet design (which is good)
Both guns are really realieble and shoot great, but my personal favorite is the Proto Rail. The ease of maintenance , the smoother shot and etc. You can't go wrong with either one of these but I prefer the rail

also, have you considered buying used? for $300 you could get an older, but still nice mid-range marker. Etek 3's go for around there, so do axes and reflexes. All very solid markers.
But definitely do your research, and decide which gun feels best to you. Whether it's new or used, if it doesn't feel right in your hands, you won't like it as much.

the mini is a nice gun but if you have the money for a mini then just get a g5. mini is nice but it's old and for the money you can get better things

To hell with the g5. I loved my buddy's when I shot it. But then it started leaking and wouldn't stop. It's a new issue every time we go to play now. He sold it and bought a rail.
I also liked my mini. It was a work horse. I've actually owned 2. I wish I still had them to loan out.
