Go for it. The Tpx is a fun marker to have around. The only con I can think of is that it is not first strike ready out of the box.

fuck yolo

^ I use a stock a5 barrel on mine
Also if you don't plan on using a remote line you should look into the techt tipx springs. you will get a lot more shots off it

Do you get more shots by using the spring kit, or an upgraded bolt? I read that TechT advised against using them both together.

Oh, and to not hijack the thread completely, I bought my TiPX this season and really enjoy playing with it.

Comparing it to a T8.1 (since that is the most direct competition)

Pros:

More efficient due to the CO2 not discharging when swapping mags

Mags are cheaper

CO2 doesn't pierce until your first trigger pull*

Personally I find the grip more comfortable, safety switch better, and style to be more appealling

Cons:

Have to swap 12g and mags separately, therefore taking longer (Also have to pretty much empty the 12g before I am able to turn the retaining cap)

Not first strike ready (but can be upgraded to be compatible)

*Normally this wouldn't matter except when carrying it as a secondary, however I also left my TiPX sitting on a table at work with a nearly full 12g, punctured, inside, and it didn't lose a single shot

Crows: I got around 5 mags off the spring kit compared to the 3 mags with the stock spring.
Also I've dont have experience with the techt bolt so I can't help you with that.

Jermey: I use my as a primary but it's not my only gun. I use it when I don't want shoot a of paint. Because its easy to run to get flags, bombs and other objectives.

Well it depends. Look, for the most part, you're not going to be airsofting it and start carrying a primary and a secondary. For normal games, both the pump and the pistol will put you at a disadvantage, therefore being "not good for normal games" by your context. But if you want to play pistol play, go right ahead. It's fun, given the small setup and the challenge. But if you want to have a gun that will be "good", look into a more traditionally styled marker, such as an eNVy or DP E1

I say you remote line the thing because changing 12 grams is annoying mid game.
