Ok, I've been paintballing about 5 times now and just got rentals, and I think im going to get more serious into it and get my own gear. The gear im going to get is:

http://www.ansgear.c...LBLACK&CartID=1

http://www.ansgear.c...TBLACK&CartID=2

http://www.ansgear.c...DERBLK&CartID=3

http://www.ansgear.c...VRBLUE&CartID=4

http://www.ansgear.c...HPGREY&CartID=5

http://www.ansgear.c...YWHITE&CartID=6

This will be the gear that I'm going to get at first, then eventually get a jersey, marker, pods, etc..

Are these good starter items for paintball? Any feedback would be great!

This seems fine but here are my suggestions.
I would forget the valken tank cover, it seems as if you could find another tank cover somewhere else that's cheaper. Or you could just get a tank butt cover.
The helix seems like a reliable mask. But I would suggest to save up for a proflex or a proto axis pro
DO NOT get a crossfire tank! The crossfire regulator is terrible! Get a ninja tank, they will be more reliable and may have less problems.
These are just my suggestions though. Everything else seems ok though!

Well, I would get a ninja tank instead of a crossfire (much better reg) and a better mask (will be more comfortable, get more bounces. I would recommend a vforce profiler or a jt proflex as a starter mask. Also, if your only playing woodsball the speed feed is not needed. You may want to look into used tanks, loaders, and guns, you can get some great deals.
This is exactly what marketing guns has come down too. a dick waving contest. You can say all the stuff you want but until you whip it out wave it around and prove it to the world everyone will doubt you. -bigx

I'm mostly going to be playing speedball, so I'll need the speed feed. And I have a ninja regulator on the tank. Would the butt cover be fine for the tank? I didn't know which to get, so I just chose the tank cover, because I was told to get something to protect it, cause I don't want it to get damaged.

Ninja tank, better mask, that speedfeed doesn't fit ur hopper, u need a halo/universal one, and fuck jerseys, dont buy one of those, just a waste of money unless your playing tourneys

Buy one of these if you want a cheap but nice electro!!!

Skip the speedfeed, mask, pants, and tank cover.

Instead get an Exalt universal speed feed, some BDUs or khaki cargo/work pants, some hockey tape and check out the JT Proflex and Vforce Profiler as MUCH better options for a mask.

Depends on who's answering. I say profiler, because of the quick change lenses and added protection, others say proflex for comfort and flex bottoms. Doesnt really matter.

im with chicken, i would take the profilers over proflex's, quick change lense is actually really helpful when you get shot in the mask, i always take my lense of to clean my mask. also the profilers have a better field of vision and i find them to be more comfortable then flex's

which mask is better? The Vforce Profiler or JT Proflex?

The Proflex is much more breathable amd is more comfortable for most people.

The Profiler offers better protection and has easier lens changes.

Don't get the speedfeed or the tank cover, they are not necessary, if you are on a small budget like you appear to be then you will not be shooting 5 pods of paint a game, the speed feed honestly wont help you that much, and you can use hockey tape or something similar to protect your tank but really tank covers really dont help that much in terms of protection, they are there more for grip against your shoulder. take the extra money from not buying these and get a better mask. look at the empire events, eflex, dye i4's the sly profit.

True, if you really REALLY want to not spend too much on a mask, you could get something like the Vidar, which is great.
