So I was shooting a tournament last Sunday and of course my camera got hit at the first tournament that I've ever shot and of course it was from 5ft away but anyway I knew it was gonna happen so I just wiped it away and made sure to take the lens off to clear out the paint from around the area where the lens twists on. I didn't notice anything then but when I got home I notice that oils from the paint I guess managed to get onto the camera's mirror. After searching everywhere and getting various different answers, I just decided to gently wipe it with a lens cloth but now it just looks all smudged. Should I worry about this or is my camera still perfectly fine? It seems to have no affect on the pictures so far.
Cleaning The Mirror

The mirror reflects the image into your viewfinder, so any smudges on the mirror will be seen in the viewfinder. When you activate the shutter, the mirror flips up revealing the censor, which captures the image. As long as the sensor is clean, your files should not be effected.
