Is your head large or small? Grills for larger head, i4s for smaller head

If your avatar is a pic of you, then I'm thinking you could wear the I4's. Both are great masks, my melon is just too big for the I4's.

I use both, I prefer the i4s overall but both are good.

Comfort - draw both are good

Easy of changing lens - slight nod to i4s, both are easy but there are no pieces to loose with i4s

Thermal lense - slight nod to i4's, it is stock on i4's and available on grils

Coverage - draw, the i4's have less coverage around the jaw line, the grills have less coverage on the forehead.

visor (for rain?) - Grills, not available without major modification on the i4.

hearing - draw, I can't tell a difference

Yelling - i4s, every single molded mask I've worn, the sound comes back to my ears when yelling, every "soft ear" mask I've worn seams to baffle the sound of yelling.

cost - grills

That should about cover it.

Eflex anyone? That or the grills I'd recommend. But the Eflex if you can spend a bit more.

Eflexes are meh. Amazing foam in them but it has e-vents ears and lenses  :tdn:

Events ears are coolsauce, and the lenses aren't terrible. No worse than near any other.

Yeah the i4 ears are certainly not better than the E-Flexes, dont know why anyone would think that.

Having worn both, I found the I4 ears to be significantly more comfortable

I guess I just never expected to hear this from anyone. I have big ears so I found the i4s kinda uncomfortable since they press down on the side of the head a lot.

Of every mask I've ever worn, My current mask (some old crappy vents with awesome foam) is probably the least comfortable ear wise and Proflexes are the most comfortable.

Yeah I have Proflexes with the original ears and E-vents ears over them and love it. Is it the material that bothers you? I suppose in my case Im feeling the original soft ears against my ears/head and I havent ever worn E-Flexes for an extended amount of time cause I found them too big so I wouldnt know if the fabric on the ears is annoying.

If I was faced with the same choice I would take the Grill.  These masks are pretty much equal in every regard except one...price.  The Grill is much more reasonably priced.

It's the lens retaining tabs. Thats also why i hate Vents lenses, the tabs always annoy me

Flimsy? I've never had an issue with them except lens removal. When i get a new proflex I'm gonna cut the frames for easier lens removal

I think they feel rugged TBH, and thinner just means they're lighter and less bulky.  Not dissing  the E-Flex but the Proflex is still incredible, even more so with the new rubber ears they have now.

I do agree, the rubber ears do make the newer ones seem cool.
