If I were you, I would not attempt to overclock anything...ever.

I wouldn't over clock it. Chips are clocked based on being normally air colded. Over clocking is all about cooling the system down. You're still stock in that department.

You can over clock any chip today but the heat is the problem. Freezing up and damage will occur.

a few tips:

1. get an unlocked CPU if you plan on overclocking.

2. get a CPU Cooler if you get an unlocked processor (hyper 212 evo is $30 and fantastic)

3. if you dont get an unlocked processor, then  you dont need a z77 mobo since its primary benefit is overclocking ability

4. you dont need a black harddrive. a seagate, WD blue would fit the bill perfectly.

5. if you plan on gaming, or if thats the main purpose of this build, you will want to dump the wifi adapter. you'll want a directly connected ethernet cable for gaming.

6. an AMD HD7950 is better than the 760 in everyway and its about $50 cheaper due to the next wave of AMD cards coming out soon.

lastly, overclocking is perfectly fine and actually not very difficult. Just watch a few videos first to get a grasp of what settings you actually need to change and how they effect your system.
