Field: Boss Paintball http://www.bossprosh...ggers/index.htm
Address: 7498 Reed Mine Trail, Locust NC 28097
Phone(704) 784-4365
Field types: 1 airball field, Large open woods complex that can be divided into multiple fields (perhaps around 20 sub-fields?) http://www.bossprosh...ggers/field.htm
Entry cost: $12 admission, $10 all-day air, $5 rentals, $4-7 for CO2 fills
Entry deals: $25 for 10 passes for free entry, air, and rental through Community Appreciation Program
Rental Equipment: Tippmann 98 markers, various masks (mostly empire), gravity fed loader, and 48/3000 HPA tanks are standard for rent. They may provide tank and hopper rentals.  They also have various small parts (halo shells, barrel socks) for sale on site.
Paint: Empire paint sold on site, but you can bring your own paint.  Basic Paint (XO Spectrum) is $12 for 500 and $39.95 for a case.  Mid-Grade Paint (Custom Blend, Formula 13, possibly others) is $15 for 500 and $49.95 for a case.  Occasionally they will have high quality paint at a slightly higher price.
Special Rules: Semi-auto only in the woods, but PSP ramping on the airball field. You can slap an obstacle protecting a player while calling "bunker" to force an automatic out - but only for obstacles specially marked for this (not all obstacles can be "bunkered"). Hits to the marker do not count. Open Sundays 12-6pm (generally).

I know I'm overdue in finishing this review, but I'd wanted to get a recent trip in to cover the newer layouts like white castle, and my fall/spring so far have been heavily distracted from paintball.  I promise I will come back to it this year.

For now, the executive summary is this:  If you want to play speedball it has a decent enough single speedball field.  This location really shines at woodsball and good reffing.  Prices are very competitive and it's not uncommon to see 100 players on the weekend so you can be part of a huge team.  Multiple skill levels represented and they usually do a good job of dividing up so no side is unbalanced.
