Remeber the amazing PM8??

The LPR in the DM14 will be very similar allowing the gun to be a single tube (like the NT).

No macroline.

Same bolt, same reg and same solenoid. The board will be different to allow for the air transfer tubes inside the gripframe.

The operating pressure will be lower than the current DM13.

Finally we'll have all that's good about the DM's with a smaller profile and less weight!

OR Be just like DAM's bolt which still allows for a single tube design. I'd say there are going with the newer technology. The PM8 was great but there is a reason why they didn't do the same thing to the DM series.

The DAM has the regulator and the bolt in the same tube. It's not the LPR... Different desings. Trust me on this... ;)

I know :P. I've owned a PM8 and it was cool the LPR was under the grip frame but it was also a pain in the ass (because I'm clumsy). I just think if it was such a good idea they would have brought it over to the DM series way before the 14. STILL, I'm excited to see what they have developed, maybe an entirely new engine (hopefully).

Don't expect any changes in the engine... It's the same bolt (with some minor changes like in the last years), same LPR, same solenoid and board. The big changes is the removal of the macroline and the lower profile from changing the LPR position. The operation pressure will be lower so a smother shot is expected...

It's not like you can just merge the engines, and basically the only other difference between the two is an LPR. If they redesigned the DM bolt to work without an LPR though, that could be huge.

This is the reason the NT tanked and the DM is still a good platform.

DYE needs to rethink their bolt design for non DMs.

Add more volume to the dump chamber by slimming down the bolt and carrier, the firing chamber is clogged with useless metal

Got a chance to use one this weekend, felt great in the hands (grip is a tad bulky, but not enough to throw me off) Really liked the shot quality on this thing, super smooth. Not huge on the trigger, walks easily enough, not just as easy as past years.

for the price its not worth it at the DM14 it shoots the same as the DM13 and is actually a tad bit heavier. If you want to brag to your friends buy it; if you want to buy smart I would not advise it.

Shot this bad boy yesterday. I actually liked the trigger even though fundamentally the trigger is the same old low quality DM trigger they are known for.

Shot was about the same as I remember from my DM12 (still shoots quite nice compared to luxes), got around 9 ½ pods of a 4000PSI fill and sound signature was about the same as my teammates DM13.

In my eyes its a macrolineless DM with new grips, moved the LPR, QR bolt, and simpler milling. Still is pretty cool.

Why not?

Its absolutely beautiful but nothing special but any stretch

IMO its just a macrolineless DM13 with a bit more efficiency. And in all honesty thats what competitors of dye have been doing for years now.

I really like the new design. I think they almost knocked it out of the park with one exception, why would you not add an OLED/LCD sceen when totally redesigning your flagship marker in 2013/2014. I know its a little thing but dealing with dip switches and LED lights on a 1400-1600 marker in my opinion is unacceptable. Does it affect how the marker shoots no but its a standard that bevery other marker has except this one!
