i am having problems with the eyes on my bfg
they will not work no matter what i try
they're plugged into the board fully, clean, and a new battery has never fixed it

also im getting leaking from somewhere in the bolt area
despite the fact that i did a full replace of every oring in the marker

Sometimes the detector fails.  Its almost never the emitter giving the problems.

Im not familiar with the marker, but if you cant readily get a set of eyes for cheap go to an electronics place and get someone there to get a new diode soldered in.  Shouldn't be more than $5 and 3 minutes of your time.

If you can solder it yourself you can try finding recieving diodes online.  Most companies use standard parts.  For instance, halo eyes use the exact same diodes found in GOG markers, ions, Sp-1's etc.  You can also shop around for cheap eyes to see if you can find ones with the same shape that the ones you have are.  solder or splice wires in to the receiving diode.
