Ego's use LCD boards.
It's pretty much an unplanked Ego 9, i.e. total crap not worth a second look. If you are buying new, the Axe is a better pick, used, your options are infinite.

The Etek line is PE's way of continuing to sell older technology as mid-market priced guns. So the answer to your question kind of depends on which year's Ego you're talking about. The current year's Ego will always have a bunch of additional features compared to the current year's Etek. But if you look at older Egos, you'll find many of the same components. Looking at the Etek 4 versus an Ego 11, the big difference from an operating perspective is the adjustable solenoid. Versus an LV1, it's also the lever valve and the new air path. There's also a bunch of cosmetic and convenience differences (LED vs LCD boards, OOPS vs POPS ASAs, etc). It's not an exact science, but Eteks are generally similar to some previous model of Ego. For an Etek 4, I'd say it's in the neighborhood of an Ego 9 or 10. PE would much rather you spend $500 on new product from them, as opposed to a used gun that doesn't put anything on their bottom line.
