Hello, I was born in the 90s didn't really get a chance to see how paintball once was.
I'd really like some feedback on where paintball came about from. Also, How was paintball back in the 90s?

Certainly not lying about making and distributing paint.

 

 

I see a lot of X ball and woodsball though.

In the woods. There were some tournaments that didn't involve the woods, but only three come to mind: Hyberball in England, something on Main Street in Orlando Disney, and the old ESPN thing (In Florida I believe), which was a bit complicated.
