So, this isn't one of those threads asking weather or not I should get an E-Flex or not. My E-Flex bottoms are misshaped from how I stored them in my paintball box so a ref told me something like "Heat up some water until it is boiling and then dunk the bottoms in for 30 seconds". I can't remember if that is the amount of time he said or not and I just want to know if anyone has done this or knows if it is ok to do.

Thanks,

Justin B.

I dont think it has to be boiling. You want it hot enough to soften the bottoms but not so hot they curl up, because then you have a bigger problem.

So should the water just be kind of simmering I guess then.

Just call empire and get new bottoms. I need to call them as my dads bottoms are starting to rip and both our ears are separating.

The bottoms are just a little warped , do you really think they will send me new bottoms?

Pretty sure they will, there customer service has been amazing when I have contacted them. I wouldn't try to fix your bottoms as flex bottoms will always warp if you flip them up.

Ok well then I guess I might call them tomorrow and see if their customer service is as good as you say.

I forgot what pro did this but they stuck skewers through the vents until it was normal shape, then let it sit in hot water for a while, then took it out and let it sit for like a day.

Dont call them up for new bottoms, you dont need them. Yours are perfectly fine, the skewer idea sounds like it would work great.

How badly are they misshapen? If it's not a big amount, just leave it like it is, if you go jabbing skewers or boiling the bottom, you are likely going to do more harm then good.

People have been using hot water to reshape flex bottoms for 15 or so years. I think you'll be ok.
