What is the quietest gun? Period.  Victory spool? Clone GT? etc.... Just wondering what the quietest marker out there is?

I doubt there is a definitive "quietest gun" out there, but some guns like Shockers, Ions, Luxes, Autocockers, and the J4 Torque are all really quiet guns.

Demons and Shockers/Luxes are the quietest I've ever heard. Also a pump gun or autococker that's tuned to be quiet can be FRIGHTENINGLY quiet.

yes the arrow gun is quiet.  you hear the bow, not the ball shooting out of the barrel

for "guns"; the quietest I've shot is my GOG enmey with a Dye UL barrel.

Ya, Ive had people tell me demons are quiet, but I've never personally heard one.  I haven't had much experience with the Demon, what is everyone's opinion of it?  Mike put up the shooting video but never reviewed it, do you think he'll do that soon? I have heard many shockers, luxes and yes they are quiet too.

I've seen cockers where the back block hitting the gun is louder than the shot itself.

DP threshold with a 16 inch AA barrel was the quietest I have ever shot; but hated that bolt stick. Any shocker/spool with a similar porting to an AA barrel should be the quietest.

Clockers are definitely not quiet. One shot sounds like two because of all the mechanical movement.

The Luxe I shot at my field (owned by a Revo Player) was SUPER quiet and it was REALLY soft on paint.

EDIT: Not saying it was the quietest but it certainly was the quietest I have heard. Also, I agree with the others in here who have said that there is no definitive "quietest marker".

classic matrix or shoebox shockers

The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

Quietest gun has to be a tippmann 98 custom. Shoots smoother and quieter then my friends luxe. My geo 3 is now my backup
If you are under 18 and pay for your gear put this in your sig

not the best choice to play with but a sling shot. Its very fun to play with and very satisfactory to get some out with it, but its not easy.

I'd say the Luxe, G6R, BL Victory, DM14, and not a very popular gun but the Mokal Aura.  All spool valve of course but they are all very quiet.

I can't agree with the G6R being a spool valve, bit it is decently quiet for a poppet. A well turned cocker in my opinion would be the quietest, then I'd go with a Luxe with the FT screw in and the manifold screw tuned to perfection. This allows you to slow down the bolt (similar to a geo 3) and make the shot super smooth and soft, a shot sounds just like a puff of air. SpecialEd is right too, the GoG Enemy is stupid quiet with an aftermarket barrel on it, it's such a cool little shooter for the price.
