Hi guys, I just played today and I used my Exalt Thrasher pants but they don't say how to wash them anywhere so I was wondering what setting you guys wash your pants on? Such as tumble dry low, etc.

Wash normally just like anything else, but pretreat them if they've got stains on them. Do not put them in the drier. Hang dry is the way to go.

There's a thread about this in the newbie section at one point but I can't find it now. I was told to use the delicate cycle with cold water and then hang dry.

I just wash it like normal. I put it in the dryer too and nothing happens but you can never be too careful.

Yea my mom washed them the same way she does my other paintball gear and they didn't come clean so she put it on a little more aggressive cycle and we'll see what happens.

Sometimes ill just rinse my pants and let them soak in a washbin for a minute or two before washing them to get the paint/mud/etc. loosened up and the clumps of stuff from going through the washing machine.

its simple, you pee on the wound to...wait never mind wrong topic. i usually wash them by hand in a outside sink or a hose with soap. all you really need to do is get the big paint chunks off really.

Nah, you gotta wash them. Eventually, your ball sweat will seep through enough to make them stink.

Putting them in the drier doesn't do anything to the fabric. The problem is that most paintball pants have both mesh and velcro. When those two come into contact in the drier, the mesh sticks to the velcro and pulls the stitching away from the mesh. It happened with my C12s. It didn't ruin the pants, just looks a bit odd.

I went 4 years without washing my sly pants. There was a 2.5-3 gap without playing but they were more than dirty... I rinsed them in the shower for the loose dirt and then threw them in the wash and then dryer. They were like brand new. I really need to be better about cleaning my gear... It's so nice to start the day off with fresh stuff. Sadly they will have 3 hard dirty days of play when I go out tomorrow morning.

Rinsing in a shower and/or outside with a hose to get a lot of the loose dirt and stuff off helps. Then when you wash it, there is less caked on dirt and paint and it tends to be pretty clean after 1 cycle.

I wash mine almost every time I play. If you don't rinse them off somehow first, it may well take a second cycle to get things very clean. It depends how muddy it is.

Thanks guys. So what I understand from all you guys have told me is that I should rinse them with a hose and then wash them.

That would work just fine. I would use the hose first if they are really dirty, otherwise the washer should do just fine. I do a regular was cycle on cold, no dryer, and I hang them on a clothesline afterward to air dry.

Washing mine right now. I completely agree with the pre-clean. Works wonders as opposed to just throwing them in if they are really dirty.

I go to a laundromat and wash. Don't want to get mine dirty.

For drying, you can use a dryer but just on low heat. A little more convenient than hang dry.

I just checked and the site didn't say anything. That was a good place to check though and I hadn't thought of that so thanks.

During a paintball season I hose them off when the mud and paint gets too heavy. So I rarely ever actually wash paintball pants.
