Just a question I have, possibly an idea for my next marker (not until sometime around next season). What has the smoothest, best shot as of right now for around $500? Used or new

Look at all the used markers in the B/S/T. There are some great shooters for great deals.

If you want to buy new, check out the new PMR or the Axe, although the axe is not a "spoolie" it feels similar.

Smoothest and best shot is a shocker no doubt about it. DM's and stuff still shoot nice, just not as good as shockers.

I've never shot a shocker that has been smoother, more consistent, or more reliable than a DM.

I would never spend over 200 dollars on a shocker IMO.

I have no idea what shockers you've been shooting lol, anything with a v3 stinger, pooty or eigen should shoot better than a DM.

Does Macdev put out the best spool valves? I love the idea of customization of shockers but it's not in my sights right now, and I hate the DM series looks.

i'm onboard with steephill, Shockers are the best spools in my opinion, DM's have an LPR which is nice, but just more stuff to go wrong, setup a shocker right and it will outshoot a DM all day long, plus, depending on the upgrades you decide to go with, you can do it in stages

IMO, yes and that's why I own a Clone VXed. Therefore I could be seen as beimg biased but compared to Shockers in my experience Clones shoot just as smooth and quiet, are less finicky with orimlng fit and amount of lube and are vastly more efficient.
