Yes I am new to the paintball world and so I wanted to check out all the forum sites. Before I knew that mike was not a big fan of PBnation I tried joining I put my real birthday and then it wouldn't let me make an account. And it doesn't give me the chance to enter another age or anything there is no way for me to make an account. I hope it will work by next year :/ :(  :tdn:

pretty sure everyone acts like they are 12 on there anyways so i dont see why they would turn you down for age.

Just put one of your parents' birthdays as the date field on forms online when you are young. That's what I always did. By using the same one every time (and you should probably be able to remember their birthday), you will even be able to recover your lost passwords.

Just saying they would tear you a new one at pbn anyways... Best stay away

And didn't this site need age verification too? It may be against ToC if you lied to get in... Aka a BoS or a ban hammer

Turning thirteen soon. I am still kind of getting into the sport. Even though I have been going a lot.

Every forum has age verification now, as I think there was a law passed about protecting children on the internet.

Sheesh, I was viewing internet pr0n by the time I was his age for sure. I turned out --mostly-- okay. I certainly wouldn't see any need to protect a kid from a paintball forum.

I mean, he could be looking up how to build a pipe bomb or a zipgun. And I DONT THINK a site that is sharing that kind of information has an age-check!

I would have assumed that pbnation would prohibit you if you were OVER a certain age...

...um...I have another stupid question...

It was an attempt at humor...the level of maturity at that website implies that everyone is young, hence the implied upper limit on age at the site.

Wow, they were right ... things that weren't that funny to begin with get even less so with explanation!

...um...I have another stupid question...

It's not about the content of the forum, but rather communicating with others(ie the potential for the child to give out their personal information) I think.

I believe there is a law that says websites can't collect information from anyone younger than 13.

Chelsea Football Club - St.Louis Rams - Tampa Bay Rays - Florida Panthers - Miami Heat

Tampa Bay Damage - Los Angeles Ironmen
