Some of my favorite paintball fields in the Denver area are starting to allow airsoft. Not airsofters shooting at paintballers, but splitting the game time. I understand that they need to expand their business, but what pisses me off is that I'm losing playing time to airsofters at the field. Because of this, my time spent playing on the field has literally been cut in half, & on top of that all of the fields are raising their prices. So now I'm paying for more time I don't get. Is this happening anywhere else in the world?

It quite common now actually. I know a few fields that have started doing that but have good separation fo each game( They were every 2 weeks paintball and now their just 1 weekend paintball one weekend airsoft) While I respect airsoft as a sport and a way of making money if their incriminating on your play time their is something wrong with that.

A field in my area has nearly dropped paintball completely, and switched to airsoft. It was a field I went to regularly, so it kind of sucked.

My field has done this for a while now but the airsofters get like 10x less playing time, so it is the complete opposite of you. I'm pretty surprised that the airsofters still come because they get so much crap at my field for looking and trying to act like they are in the army. In my opinion, airsoft guns are fun to play around with but I don't think you need to put 20 tons of gear on and act like your in the military. If you want to act like your in the military, join the real military, they could always use another person :).

This is purely my opinion.

My local field stopped hosting airsoft on weekends to allow paintballers to have all the fields. I'm happy about it. The airsofters were douchebags.

I think that OSG does airsoft days once a month, I'm cool with it as long as I don't have to deal with them.

My field has airsoft on Saturday nights only...

Or so I thought. Last Friday night there were airsofters there. They had to use the shittiest field at the whole place. I'm not complaining. But I can't stand those kids. So immature. "I'm gonna shoot you haha" they acted like giddy little five year olds. Not to mention that not one of those fuckers has a barrel sock and they were waving their damn guns everywhere. Also I don't want airsoft BBs all over the fields.

We run two different games on two different fields. One airsoft and one paintball works great.

Yea, I agree that they take forever. Its because they take airsoft WAY to seriously and they want to act like their all navy seals or something.  Its just dumb and they hide for like 20 mins every time 1 bb fly's near them.

Airsoft took off in my area a few years ago in one big rush.

A whole bunch of paintballers left for airsoft all at once and it became popular.

Most fields have weekend walkons for both and it usually won't conflict at all.

Ex. airsoft plays at field X and paintball plays at field Y

The airsoft around here was big for like a week, then the woodsballers finally noticed that they were being affected and started bringing more and more people out to shut down the airsofters... It was fun to watch from the airball field.

Come to Kansas, borderline zero airsoft scene anywhere that I've noticed.

My local home field runs airsoft once a month, but it's more designed for paintballers so its never usually over run with airsofters. What really sucks is when they cater more to airsofters and ignore having paintball events at all, like Apocalypse Paintball has done. They boast like they have a badass group of local players, it's a bunch of assholes and douchebags who shoot up anyone from out of town. Last time I'll ever go to that train wreck of a field. I'll stick with the quality of CPX Sports thanks.

if you have the ability to go to CPX why go anywhere else lol. Never been there personally but it just seems to be the field you cannot beat in terms of variety of game types and fields.

Airsofters plat on my home field, bbs are always flying over the netting in the woods ball area. Not to mention they chirped paintball until someone suggested paintball v.s. airsoft.

They banned airsoft from Orbital after the owner found an IED on the field.  Some stupid airsoft shithead filled pvc pipe with bbs and put an m80 inside.  It wasn't the first time either they had been warned but that was the last straw.

At my field we made sure never to allow airsoft no matter what.
