I was wondering what the key differences where between the different makers of autocockers back on the late 90s and early 2000s. For instance how was WGP STO different than from a DYE Reflex. Some of the companies I'm particularly interested in are PTP, bob long, belsales. I've tried searching around but haven't found much of this topic at all.

Different milling on the bodies, all sorts of different parts inside and out. MCB's archive of Ravi Chopra's page might be a good place to start if you want to get an idea about some of those private label guns.

as you can see, there was as time when everyone and there uncle made cocker stuff. the closest we have seen to that recently was with ions, when everyone made ion stuff.

the WGP stuff tended to lag behind the aftermarket in terms of performance, but WGP stuff was also very OEM-like. you knew what you were getting yourself into with a WGP product, sometimes with some of the other manufactuers, not so much.

The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

Now if we can just get a picture of both sides of each and every one of these markers in their original configurations and formats! THEN this will become my favorite ultimate single page on all of the Internet/Web!

Not all of them, but quite a few:
