I wouldn't recommend windows live movie maker, my last video barly made it out cause it keeps on crashing at compile time I would have broke my computer if it didn't make my pre-final version before it started doing that..

I got Sony Movie Studio 12 on amazon this past fall for $28.99 with free shipping...

Remember, when editing, if you use "free" software, it will often crash and you will lose all your work. You are better off buying a decent program for cheap. As they are out there...

I've been using Windows Live Maker (just the new name for Movie Maker).

But many are right, it does have crash issues if you plan on doing any really jump-cut style productions.

I might even be checking out that deal on Sony Movie Studio 12...
