Hey TechPB, I have decisions to make. Currently I use E-Vents, Fully Upped Invert Too, Ninja 68/4500 w/ Tank Cover, and a Tippmann 98 Custom. The thing is that I wear hunting boots, sweat pants, and a t-shirt when I play. I also got a Planet Eclipse Etha for Christmas that I unfortunately had to return due to damage. All Ans Gear would give was In-store credit. I also just applied for a job at Arby's, so either way I'm going to buy gear, but I don't know what to do first. Sorry for the disorganized ramble, and thank you in advance!  :) Also if you have any other ideas, throw em' out there.

So I can either get:

  • 2013 Planet Eclipse Knee and Elbow Pads
  • 2010 Dye Slider Shorts
  • Exalt 2014 V3 Thrasher Pants
  • HK Army 2014 Eject Pod Pack
  • A smoke lens for my E-vents
  • Keep the 98 Custom and save for a better gun

Or I can get a new Planet Eclipse Etha.

Buy the gear now for sure. After youve saved up money from your job buy a used supergun or maybe an Axe Drone or Etek. I had an Etha and was not a fan. Its your money, but just my advice.

I say, start with pads and pants. Your knees and elbows will be very happy with you. A good pair of football, baseball or soccer cleats would be nice too. After these, go for a pod pack. Your 98 will carry you quite a way before you need to upgrade.

Save your cash for a new gun. Then get a solid gun like a Drone or an Axe.

From personal experience, the gun doesn't all that matter too much in rec ball or casual play. I let a kid use my brothers axe and his little brother play with my eNMEy because there were no more rentals, and I played with the rental FT 12, and I did fine. I still dominated and was still a major threat in the advanced group. But I doubt I'd do as well if I didn't have good gear like good pants or good pads, or even my good mask.

Buy the gear and then buy a used gun, the gear is more important than the gun plus if you save up for the gun, you can huy used Because you only havebin store credit for ans and the soft gear ia better to buy new and the guns used.
If you are under 18 and pay for your gear put this in your sig
