There are two different packages I'm looking at and I want to know which ones better

Gog extcy with an empire scion and geurilla 62/3000 or proto rail with empire halo too and empire 48/3000. The extcy is 375 and the rail is 370. I would be getting a mask that docent come with the packages prob like a proto axis or something like that

I'd only recommend the Guerilla 62/3000 tank if you're over about 5'11".  It's got a couple of inches of length on it compared to the 48/3000 and would not be a good choice for players with shorter arms.  Otherwise, there's not much difference between the eXTCy and the Rail or the Scion and the Halo Too.

I'm around 5"7 or so and that is why I'm considering the rail if it was 48/3000 I would have gotten the extcy

It costs more to get a 48/3000 than a 62/3000, that seems odd, or are you referring to a 48/4500?

Well looking at ansgear.com you could get a Ninja 48/3000 ($49.95), a Pinokio Speed ($129.95), and a GoG eXTCy ($199.95) for $379.85, and if you got a invert too ($69.95) instead of a super loader (Pinokio, Empire Prophecy Z2, Dye Rotor, Virtue Spire, and Pinokio Speed) it would only be $319.85. While the other sites seem like good deals I would suggest you look at ansgear if you're planning to buy online. However, if you're looking at your local shop or field I'd suggest to pay more to support your shop or field.

Oh well, thought I would at least mention it, but they do ship to Canada they just charge a ridiculous shipping rate, so you're probably better off sticking with the other online paintball distributors that you mentioned.

Also I thought I would mention that the 62/3000 will be the same size as a 48/3000 aluminum tank, as the one on buypbl.com is a wrapped 62/3000 so it will just be wider but have around the same length as the 48/3000 (I think it might be a little shorter) so you should be fine if that is what you are concerned about with the eXTCy package.

My fault, you're right - the Guerilla 62/3000 is 10.25 inches and the Ninja 48/3000 is 10.5 inches.  I was thinking of the Ninja 62/3000 which is 12.5 inches.  Carry on and forget what I said previously.

So there is a local field that can price match the rail but they don't carry gog so I'll prob go wight that unless there is anything else that is a huge factor

P.S I could get an Etha with ninja 48/3000 invert halo too and an empire vent for like 630 or inert mini for 600 with the same thing but I don't have 700 if I get those (because of tax) so is the rail ok??

The Rail is a great marker, just as good as the eXTCy, it's just more of a preference thing if anything between the two markers, and if you could support your local field that would be great. The main difference between the two is just going to be the trigger, and if you don't like it you can just upgrade it down the line, so if I were you I would support the local field and go with the Rail. So that's what I would do, but if you could I would suggest you try out the Rail first if possible, but I think you'll be happy with it either way, and I changed my vote to Rail as the Rail and the eXTCy are essentially equals, it just comes to personal preference from there, and given the circumstances the Rail is your best bet.

It won't make much of a difference either way, but I would say it's worth it, as you get a better feedneck, a better barrel, an on/off asa and a case, all of which would cost over a hundred if sold separately. So as for your question is it worth it? I would say yes, as to the question of would it make much of a difference? I would say no, the gun will perform and shoot the same regardless.

The Maxxed is absolutely worth the $50. It comes with a $60 asa, $25 feedneck, a $30 case, $60 barrel...

The on/off asa alone makes it worth the extra $50.

thanks guys so I looked at the maxxed and if I got the maxxed and a mask package it would overall be 580 and the proto rail with the package would be around 450 depending on the mask. so it would accutaly be over 100 dollars for the maxxed. Is it still worth it. Thanks guys for all the help and I will be going to a store on saturday so any extra input would be great thanks.

I would say no, the gun will perform the same with either package, and since the maxxed package would basically cost more than what the accessories add, your better off with the regular rail, and you can simply get whatever upgrades you want (not that you need any). So just save some money and stick with the regular Proto Rail package.

I disagree. The maxxed is still worth it. The marker will still shoot the same, however it will look nice for a longer time (case), it will reduce wear and tear on your tank (on/off).

My 98c ASA actually stripped the threading on my bonnet. I had to buy a brand new tank (I could've bought a regulator), in the end, the maxxed seems like a much wiser decision.

I agree, but instead of buying the maxxed, just buy a case and an on/off asa and save money, if the maxxed was only $50 more it would be worth it, but at the price it costs more than what the accessories add, so buying the accessories separately will save money. But I guess if you don't want to worry about having to upgrade the gun yourself, the maxxed is something to consider.

I am looking deeply between the two and I don't think I will be getting the maxxed since it costs too much over my budget but I will be considering this until Saturday when I get my marker. Thanks for all the comments

Hey guys so I was looking around and I completely ditched the idea of a maxxed when I saw this. The Etha package.it comes with invert halo too ninja 48/3000 eclipse Etha and a mask. It costs 650 with tax. So is it worth it compared to rail??

P.S there is an invert mini package which is same as Etha but only 610

So that means proto rail package 530
Eclipse Etha package 650
Invert mini package 610
They all have an invert too 48/3000 and mask

I would still stick with the rail, IMO it's better than the Etha and the Invert Mini, and you'll save a lot of money by going with the rail.

You can buy an extcy on ansgear for 200 right now, I just bought a 48/3000 guerrilla tank on amazon for 36 dollars and I'm sure you can find a cheap lightly used loader on eBay or something for 60 bucks, all of which adds up to less than the package prices you quoted. As for the rail, the only thing that's better is the eye pipe for maintenance. And the extcy has easy access eye covers, a better board that is waterproof and the on off Asa.
On the other hand if you're talking about approaching the 600 dollar range for a marker, just get an empire axe and call it a day.

I believe the etha is less efficient, it's louder and you...feel your shots more. All I'm saying is stay away from the package deals, do a little leg work and you should save some cash you can put into paint.

I would still stick with the rail, and simply get a virtue board if you fry the board, I'm not sure if they're water resistant (no board is really waterproof), but I believe they have a lifetime warranty, which should solve your problem. As for the axe, I do not believe it's in your budget, and I don't think it's better than the Rail, so I still think your best choice is the Rail, though try them out, or at least hold them to see which one feels best for you.

Thanks I looked at the axe and the gun by itself is around 530 so it's already out of my budget so it's really a toss up between rail or Etha (mini is only 30 less than Etha and it seems that the mini isn't favored in the forums compared to most guns) but I will be trying out all three and i will see which one I like best. Also does anybody have anything on the mini they're isn't a whole lot on the forums so I just wanted some input

Rail all the way. Extcy is an iffy gun. Mine was always leaking and the one at a local paintball shops were messed up too so my personal experience dictates that the extcy is no good. Rail or mini or even better etha.
