Do you know if there is going to be a new Planet Eclipse Etha?

I'm planning on buying an etna because I play a lot of airball and scenario play and that gun is great for it and I want to know if there will be an updated one coming out anytime soon because I don't want to blow 400 bucks on it and have an even better one come out the next week or something.

Or if there is a new, even better gun (maybe a little cheaper?) coming out if anyone knows about it.

Thanks!

There is no news or any hints of a new Etha.

And the etha is meh in my opinion. That shot quality isn't too great. I'd recommend something like an axe

Besides the poppet flaw (which PE has corrected) what other problems is the Etha plagued with?

Also check out the dangerous power G5. Great marker. All the modes you could ever want. Clamp feed neck. Raps Asa. Trigger is amazing. Inline gun. Easy maintenance you just have to take good care of it. Very easy to access regulator, grip frame, bolt , eyes and just a very nice quality mid range gun.

The new solenoid they use has a vent for overpress. Something must be defective woth the noid or reg because myself and many others in the PBN Etha forum had the noid start venting and were unable to chrono above 250.

I think PE should update the Etha, i think they should also have a smaller stock barrel back, but other guns like the DP FX need to be updated along with the Rev-i, we could go on and on about what needs to be fixed with what markers. It doesn't look as if PE will come out with one anytime soon, I would say get something like an Axe, Drone, Reflex Rail, or even a used super-gun if your budget allows for it.

I would go with a used supergun, like a Proto PM8, Dye DM9 and up, Dye NT (only if you want to take the time to tinker with the marker), Bob Long Vice, Bob Long G6R, Alien Independence, Alien Invasion, Macdev Droid, Planet Eclipse GEO 2, etc.. Those markers will all be better than any new marker under $500, but if you only want to buy new I would go with the GoG eXTCy or the Proto Rail, as they're cheaper than the Axe and Etha, and just as good IMO.

bolt tip coming off (which I have replaced countless times) leaks, eye problems and chopping. I baby my guns including my that nd i do everything I can to keep my guns working great but this one I was never able to do. I also don't like the feel or how it shoots

I guess I didn't do enough research before I bought my Etha. So far the only issue I have experience is the chopping, and that was with the halo too. I picked up a rotor and didn't have any problems with it today. It does shoot like a 240G machine gun against my Axe, but it feels so much better in the hands that I prefer to use it and I'm probably going to sell the Axe.

To the OP, I say just get what you like and don't worry about the latest and greatest.

Just try to hold and shoot the Axe and Drone and decide from there - if you don't like either, just keep your options open and definitely do your research before you buy because you don't want to spend $400+ on a gun that you don't like when you get it.
