my tippmann 98 is shooting two or three times with every trigger pull.  Because of this it is breaking paint. I have an e-trigger but it seems to be working fine when the gun is not aired up.  can someone help.

Check your detents.

are you using air or CO2? It wouldn't be the detentes because there are no eyes. By shooting 2 or 3 times do you mean the bolt is going back and forward 2 or 3 times or there are 2 or 3 balls coming out of the barrel?

What? How would the presence or absence of eyes affect how the detents are working.

it is shooting two or three times but only one ball is coming out and it's usually broken because it can't take the extra shots.

Tippmann does have a single detent, open up your marker and check it. It's a simple rubber detent, if it's worn out or twisted that might be the problem.
