I am playing football for my school this year and I was wondering what position you guys think I should play.

Height: 5'10'

Weight: 160

40 time: 5.3

Vert: 22inches (9ft 1in)

I'm thinking of playing CB or Safety, thoughts?

Receiver or running back depending on your hand skills and your ability to take a hit.

If I'm ineligible for JV, I'll be on varsity, otherwise I'm on JV.

First practice today, played Corner

If you play safety you should be able to play corner and vice versa. Those two positions need to learn both positional jobs. They work together all the time, for instance the safety needs to know if the defensive play calls for a corner blitz. If he doesn't, he's not covering the right area of the field more than likely.

As for your position. Find out what you're good at, don't let your body type get in the way of something you're better at.

This is true. Like for me, I'm a big guy and my coaches wanted me at OT. I however am better at OG, so that's what I play, even though my body is better built for OT. Big man has legs

Played corner again today.

I'm feeling it.

EDIT: Love the fact that I can throw a blocker off of me by the shoulder pads and he can't do it back, loving defense.

Defense is where it's at. I play DT. So fun being able to lay someone out since I usually play OG.

Same! I can't pull as fast on the right side for some reason. I sometimes play nose however, but only when we play huge teams
