Pretty big price difference..

The DM14 is smoother and quieter as well as more efficient. It is however heavier and larger and requires more frequent and careful maintenance.

yeah maintenance is  not a problem. I would be playing primarily snake and woods ball.

Why these two? I mean, why not Geo 2.1 vs DM12 or Geo 3.1 vs DM14?

IMO the 3 is really when the Geo platform really "came of age".

If you are comparing the geo to the dm 14 then as said it should be the 3.1 if you have the money for a dm14 then the 3.1 would be its competitor.
The geo will be simpler and the dm would be quieter and smoother. The geo also has the adjustable solenoid if you are into that, and ergos and aesthetics are preference. I like the geo more because i like lighter guns and the dm line has always been too large for me since i started playing, also i like macroline better than macroless, but that is preference.
If you are under 18 and pay for your gear put this in your sig

I don't know if it's just me but the DMs this year seem really big. Like stated above, the Geo will be smaller and lighter, but the DM's weight actually helps it shoot smoother. The weight means less recoil to stabilize it better. Just kind of that Dye tuning I guess.

LL8 couldn't come any faster.

PM8 is tiny too. IMO that was the peak. I have a PM8 and a Geo 2.1, and I shoot the PM8.
