Slayery...? Didn't even know it was coming.

Speaking of bands  that haven't released something new in a while. Slipknot recently released a new album.

Somewhere in the depths of youtube theres a video of them doing Buch Dich live and its a crazy vid.  I used to follow them but feel they kind of lost there way after feuer frie made them famous around the XXX movie release.

Now here's a couple of my favorites to keep the music flowing.

This is a question to any serious guitar players, if any in tha club. I need advice on sweep picking. It is by far the hardest thing I've ever tried to do and is the only thing stopping me from finishing the afterlife solo. Any help is appreciated

Soon enough you'll realize that A7x plays nothing but repeated scales.

Take your time, follow a metronome. Just practice, it's not hard but it's not something you'll get ridiculously great at in a month.

I wouldn't say I can sweep because I can't free style whatever comes to mind like every other technique I know but I can play a few songs with that technique such as the solo to Promised Ones by blessthefall or Wolves At the Door by Senses Fail. Took me 8 months of the 3 years I've played to get proficiently good at it ;) I've been told that's a long time a lot haha.

except on afterlife where there is literally a small sweeping section that's almost too fast to understand

Arpeggio picking isn't about being fast, sometimes (no offense to syn) people play quickly simply to cover up mistakes rather than having a melodic, it's not as complicated as it seems but when it comes to you learning it focus on clarity.

I followed that, he's ridiculously good at guitar and knows what he's talking about.
