So I was told have a guy at back center to lane and yell then the other two go out side left and right and shoot at the guy across from us instead of the guy in front is this true? And is there any more speedball tips to help us get better

Play carefully. You cant sacrifice bodies to run someone down like you would in 5 man. Keep the guns rolling and methodically move up the field. You would probably want 3 guns up OTB and dont have your runners go far. Choose primary bunkers that you can make it to alive.

In a 3v3 situation the back center guy kind of acts as an insert player. If the d side guy dies, they have to fill out so that the opposing doesn't have a wide open d side to take advantage of. As BurningPlaydoh said, play carefully. Because in a 5v5, there are 5 players and 3 main spots of the field where a player needs to be, so you can always have 2 fill players. But in a 3v3, there are 2 main spots of the field and 1 fill player, so make smart moves. Also, when you do bump up the field, move as a team, not just one player moving.

As a long time player and ref, I can tell you that in 3v3, the team that gets the first kill usually wins. I'd be willing to say this happens close to 70% of the time. So try to put those odds in your favor. If you know a team is sending a guy to the same spot every single game, don't be afraid to put all 3 guns on that spot off the break. If you get that elimination off the break, you already have a huge advantage, and the rest of the game should play out to your favor.

Don't be that guy.
