I'd skip it. Gas hog, stovepipe feedneck, only one usable mode on the board, short stock barrel. For similar money, I'd look at an eXTCy with the Blackheart board, or a nice used midrange gun.

Yes, I would say it is a ok beginner marker.

HOWEVER, the DP E1 is pretty much completely outclassed by the Gog Envy.

The Envy is a much better option in almost every way

- Better feedneck

- shoots nicer

- softer on paint

- more reliable

- far superior board

The only advantages the E1 has are the trigger and being around $20 cheaper.

If you're interested in getting a $200 electro-pneumatic marker  Envy / Vibe > E1 by far.

The E1 is a capable marker IF it has the following items like mine does:

Clamping feedneck

nice barrel (personal preference)

Rampage OLED board.

Now that brings the guns price range up a bit, but mine is still a machine gun, and I'd take it over a mini or proto rail any day.

It has potential as a good starter gun

Stop worrying about how you look, and start worrying about how you play. Get out on the field and play paintball the best you can, not stand at home in front of a mirror trying to figure out if your jersey matches your eyes.
